Site. Easy to find even the satnav didn't lie, nice and clean, well maintained, beach across road from site but on a nasty bend, a 10min walk down a path with plenty doggy bins on to a massive beach, but don't wonder off to far when tide is out you will be told off as I found out. Bus stop out side to brean and weston, breans about a 20/30min walk.

Shop. Has got the basics you, ll need, a little over priced, but as we found out when shop was closed for a good part of Sunday, there is a cost cutter shop a short walk up road on neighbouring caravan site

Cafe/chip shop. Was empty when I ordered but took 3/4 of an hour to serve me 4xmeat an chips.

Bar. Great staff but no offers pitchers e. T. C

Entertainment. Bingo, they had a song for every number, not my cup of tea, something for the kids great, adult time wicked, late night disco, for those with no little ones wait for the late night entertainment.

Kids. Nice park and pool an a little arcade more 2p slots with prices needed the kids love them.

Down points. Don't let your kids try and cross road to beach its on a nasty bend an busy road, it scared me!a crossing is needed!

We have just returned after spending a week at Sandy Glade.

We stayed in a static as it was actually cheaper than towing and siting our tourer from Bolton!

The site is easy to find as it is the first along the coast road travelling from Burnham towards Brean.

We had a good week. The weather, although windy was mainly fine and any rain fell overnight.

The onsite facilities only opened the week before our visit.

The swimming pool is small, but perfectly clean. However if you expect to find slides and diving boards, you will be disappointed as there are none. I can imagine it also to be very crowded during the height of summer!

To the rear of the pool there is an outdoor playground and nearby a large grassed area for ball games.

There is a shop stocking most basics and ice creams, and a snack bar / takeaway next door.

The clubhouse is open all day and evening till 11pm weekdays and midnight at the weekends. Children seem to be allowed there with their parents till closing time.

The bar prices are pretty reasonable and there was never a queue for drinks.

If you don't like Bingo don't bother going to the club before 9-00pm! If you do, be very, very quiet. Some take it deadly seriously!

Entertainment normally consisted of a different singer each night. Some were actually pretty good!

All facilities are free (well included in the price).

Miles of sand and good walks are just across the road, with the more commercial funfairs etc just up the road at Brean.

All in all Sandy Glade is a good, friendly, family site without being too commercial.
