Barrier-entry open field shielded by high hedging/trees with far end for boaters car parking but not in sight of the 5 pitches, think all have electric now. Key-access for unisex shower, separate men/women loos.
Bin area by office a bit of a walk unless we missed something closer. Very helpful pleasant staff. Dogs on lead - shame no 'off-lead' play area. Lovely well kept marina.
Easy stroll into village with shop pubs etc & nearest town 5min drive.
Enjoyed a very relaxing quiet stay and will return

This is site is excellent if you have an interest in canals or narrowboats the CL is in a field next to the canal but the view is mostly blocked by trees. If you are in a camper there is quite a walk to the toilets and elsan point although you can take the car and park outside if you have a caravan.
Its possible to walk around the whole marina and canal buildings which are very interesting. The price is very reasonable and includes electic as others have said there are only 2 electic points on the field but its easy to find space for yourself
If you have an 02 mobile there is absolutely no phone service which I have never found anywhere else in the uk!
A great CL will definitely be back

Arrived monday morning, told to go to field and pick my pitch so set up by the only EHU (4) in field which was sloping and needed grass cutting. this was ok but the over a 1/4 mile walk to the showers/toilets and elsan point was a bit much, did not explain this online or brochures so a bit hard on us people with walking problems like my wife. however I found the canal walks ok, even if the five mins walk to village did not mention the steepness of the hill

Paid my money for 4 nights and was told to drive up to the field and pick my spot. Field had been used for grazing and was sloping/rough and the EHs were hidden in the trees making it difficult to find a pitch. It was on the side of a hill and people from the boats and nearby houses walked their dogs (not always cleaning up after them). There was no security and the facilities ie., the elsan and rubbish bins were 1/4 mile away at the Marina. The owner visit the site to see if you were OK.
Having said that about the site, the location near the Marina and canal was OK and you are within easy walking distance of the village shop and pubs.

June 2005 This site is right next to the Marina. We went for the weekend as a a group and had hired a narrow boat for a day so it was ideal. There are some good pubs within walking distance along the tow paths they are all geared up to serving meals, there is also a floating cafe which open for breakfasts.
The village is within walking distance along footpaths it is very attractive with shops, a bakers, pubs and an excellent fish and chip shop.
The site is really only a field it is a bit uneven, had very long grass and as there had been sheep grazing in it you can imagine what lay underfoot. The field is used by people from the boats to excercise their dogs which may bother some people, it didn't us. The toilets and showers though immaculate were by £1 token and were a long way away. Just another point is be sure to take a long e.u.hook up.
Because we were in a group we enjoyed being able to group together and have the site to ourselves, with few restrictions but had we have gone as a couple I may have had a different view and felt we were stuck in the middle of a field.
