Lovely but basic campsite with flat pitches. Showers and toilets very well kept and showers much better than normal shower blocks in a campsite. Had a sink station with cold water for dishes. Good size pitches (10mx10m)
They have on going issues with a neighbour who seems to moan about everything and anything so if your looking to go on holiday and enjoy yourself I wouldn't recommend this place.
If your looking to go to a quiet campsite as a couple, turn in by 6pm and be constantly looked over by the owner then this may be the site for you.
Sadly I won't be returning.

We visited Poplars Campsite in Holme Next The Sea, Holme itself is a nice little village a few miles along the coast from Sunny Hunny (Hunstanton) has a few pubs in reasonable walking distance both serve good food with very friendly service. Being in Norfolk lots of choices for walks everywhere and of course fantastic beaches, but be aware at certain times of year some are closely protected and sites of SSI (Site of Scientific Interest) so do read signage should you spot any.
The campsite is situated behind a house on the main road with a small sign to the left by a gravel track, blink and you will miss it! Entry onto the site is easily accessible however we weren't sure where we should be going at first, no entry greeting you just kinda drive onto the site and wait for either the owner or his son to come welcome you and give information regarding the site and facilities and any other information you want to know.
The site itself is presented well, clean tidy and well kept, you can tell time effort and investment has gone into this site. Its there but not quite. ! which I will go into more detail later.
We had a six man tent with electric hookup costing £20per night, we had a nice pitch by the hedge, people on the site were friendly but most kept to themselves. There is only one electric stand with four hook ups at one end, so if your at the other end you will need a looooonnnnng lead but the owner does offer extra leads if you need them at no extra cost.
The pitches are reasonably spread out so your not right on top of each other so don't feel too claustrophobic. Most of the pitches are on level ground with a good sized play area to the back of the campsite for exercising your dog or children, there are no swings or slides etc you make your own entertainment.
The facilities on this site are basic but however are immaculately clean. There are four separated toilet cubicles, each with its own hand basin with hot and cold water.
The showers were good. BUT. However. ! There are two shower rooms side by side each with two showers side by side inside them. Yes. ! The shower rooms themselves 'Have NO Locks' (weird) so if your partner has a shower the other must stand guard and be your lock. Even weirder the two showers that are side by side just has a board wall separating them with a shower curtain on the front. No where to change, hang your clothes or dry off without some complete stranger seeing you or them.
I couldn't find Chemical waste disposal point or anywhere other than the hand basins for washing up, so we just got hot water from the toilet and took it back to our tent and did it there.
The showers aren't as horrifying as they may sound but people should be aware and I'm hoping the owner has already resolved this situation.
Would I stay here again. ??? 100% yes

This campsite has now re-opened (July 2018) and has great facilities including showers and wc's in a great coastal position. Rather eccentric host with plenty of enthusiasm for the area and great local knowledge.
Would thoroughly recommend for long and short stay and great value for money. Plenty of space.

Great little site. This was our second visit.
No hook up but everything else, water, dump and loos, also washing up facility.
Site is level and well maintained. We go for the bird watching, see more birds here than on the two neighbouring reserves.
At £6 a night it suits us! Also adults only.
Stock up on goodies, nearest shop is a couple of miles, pub in walking distance but the road is not good to walk because of the traffic.
RSPB site within two miles and NWLT site is just down the road.
Twitchers heaven.
