Just arrived home after a fabulous time in a static Tipi next to the pond. We arrived to a clean sight with freshly cut grass and a very well equipped camp site.
The newly refurbished toilet/shower/laundry block is kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper, hand soap and paper towles. There is a separate washing up hut with washing up liquid, warm water and fridge facilities.
There are additional toilets with a small basin and warm water too! We were met with a warm welcome from the owner and personally shown to our tipi tent.
The tipi tents come with electricity (bonus) and friendly neighbouring geese and ducks! (My husband and son nicknamed the friendliest 'Jeffrey') the ponds are well stocked with fish too!
The site had no sign of scrap yard, just tranquil neighbouring fields. The sight is within 10 minutes (if that) from Ryde, a massive Tescos (saved us buying our food from the mainland) and even close to the Island Speedway track (bonus!)
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be going back next year!

Stayed at this wonderful site 29 Aug to 2nd Sept. What a quiet peaceful site. We used one of the static tipi tents and found it very spacious and warm. The owners and staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
Would highly recommend this site to anyone in the future.
Toilet blocks etc kept very clean.
Site is set near to Ryde with easy access to the rest of the Isle of wight.

I had booked the tepee as a surprise for the children. It was raining hard so we didnt have the enjoyment of a fire, but the tepee was cosy and large enough for the children to dance around due to them being so excited. it did leak from only drips and mainly from the top which you would expect. Nice owners, no shop. Grumpy man owns the field next to site and told my daughter off for feeding the sad looking horses apples. Would recommend. The site not the grumpy man!

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago after looking forward to a new experience in a tipi. The tipis themselves were fine & located separate from the main site & near a fishing lake. However, the site they were on was not the best we've ever been to; in particular there were minimal toilet/shower facilities which weren't always working (bunged up toilets - yuk!) & were poorly maintained & certainly not sufficient for even this small site. There was also only one washing up sink & that was in a grotty shed. The site itself was situated next to a scrap yard which the tipis backed onto. Then there was the fishing lake - very picturesque but not so nice when fisherman stayed all night playing music & having bait alarms going off all the time. There was meant to be no all-night fishing but this rule was totally ignored. On leaving, the warden didn't take too kindly to any constructive criticism (altho it turned out there were family health problems & so perhaps the site was taking a back seat?) All in all this is a wasted opportunity for the owners at the moment but with some investment/maintenance it could be lovely.
