As new owners of a motorhome were still finding our feet we had the pleasure of visiting this site it’s a 2 minute walk to a lovely beech and walk along the beech you can see the entrance to a fjord in the lovely west of Ireland.
The site has a small shop and games room and if the weather allows you get some spectacular sunsets as the sun sets on irelands west coast.
A short drive away is the film locations for the late Richard Harris (The bull McCabe) movie The field you can enjoy a pint in the bar from the movie and boat trips along Killarney fjord

A small, basic, quiet campsite with all necessary facilities in a stunningly beautiful setting. A wee gem in Ireland's green and pleasant land.
Toilet block has basic facilities but is kept clean and fully stocked with soap etc. Free hot showers morning and evening also laundry room with tokens available. On site small shop and cafe, pleasant, helpful and sociable staff. Recycling encouraged, bins nearby. Mostly grass standing with electric points available including at the top of the hill where you get a full 360 degrees panoramic view of the Connemara hills through to the majestic Atlantic Ocean and the islands of Clare and Inishturk. When the tide is out it has one of the most stunningly beautiful sandy beaches I have ever seen, accessed by steps down from the campsite. Who needs a playground for the kids when you have such an amazing beach to play on, rockpools to explore, rocks to fish from and even mountains to climb. Small shop nearby, no pubs or restaurants nearby.

Great site, we pitched up on the hill, no hookup here but a great view of the ocean. Pitches lower down had hookups. Facilities quite basic but OK, showers only available between certain times. There was a laundry room. Direct access down steps onto the beach, but not much else within walking distance. A couple of pubs in Tully Cross. Clifden is nearest 'town' with lots of pubs, retaurants etc. Would use this site again.
