Site doesn't take bookings, just show up and hope for the best :-)
There are 3 campsites around lake Titisee and I have been told they never all full. So you will get a spot at one of them.
This one was particularly good as there are no midges and all spots are partially in the shed which is very important in 30 degrees heat.

Visited this site for a week before we went onto switzerland. Pitched right next to the lake. Very friendly owners. And very friendly site. Toilet and shower facilities were good. Restaurant was ok too. Will be visiting again for sure.
Very good location for visiting other towns. Trip into Titisee was great for shopping and banking. Nice meals there too.
Lidl and Aldi all within a few miles.

Length of stay: 4 nights.
We chose this site originally, as we wanted to be next to a lake and not too far from the Europa Park theme park (http://www.europapark.de) which we wished to visit on one of the days, but didn't want to stay at their campsite.
We arrived very late in the evening (about 22.00) and were greeted quite warmly by the young (French) staff. The campsite was quite full and we were in close proximity to other tents. However, it was quite nice to see a variety of tents and trailers tents, as well as the usual campers and caravans. Despite this, we managed to find a nice, flat spot to erect our two tents. Be warned, the ground here is VERY hard, so rock pegs and a good hammer are essential.
Proximity and access to the lake is good, and whilst not huge, provided plenty of entertainment for the children with their inflatable boats.
Facilities in general are good on the site. The toilets and showers get cleaned regularly and the showers have free hot water, although you do have to pay some nominal charge for hot washing up water! There is also a small play area (slides and swings) for the children and there is also a small restaurant on site, but we didn't try this, so I can't comment on what it is like. There is also internet access available, if you want that sort of thing whilst camping. There is an onsite shop, which is pretty well stocked and has fresh bread etc. in the mornings. However, it is ridiculously expensive, so I would only use it for emergencies and take a trip to Neustadt (about 20 minutes outside Titisee) where everything is much cheaper.
Check in/out is painless. Usual form filling and they take most credit cards - which is good, as this isn't one of the cheaper sites in the area, but remember to have your pin number with you, as most places in Germany now, require you to enter your pin as identification instead of signing.
The surrounding area is very nice as well. The nearest town is Titisee, which is about 5 minutes by car (20 minutes pleasant walk around the lake - ANTICLOCKWISE!). Again it's quite touristic, as you would expect, but you can buy some excellent local ham and of course Black Forest Gateaux (Scwazwilder KirschTorte) as well and this won't break the bank. As mentioned before, the town of Neustadt is only about 20 minutes away also (turn right out of the campsite and then left on the main street in Titisee, then just follow the yellow signs) and has all the shops you would normally find, including a Lidl!!
In summary, this isn't a bad place. Not so cheap, but friendly, well serviced and in an excellent location to explore the Black Forest from. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
One final note: the exit from the campsite, if you're heading back to Titisee, Neustadt or civilisation in general, is a sharp right turn at the top of an incline.... if you're towing and want to save your clutch, I'd recommend turning left out of the campsite and then doing a u-turn further up the road.
