Visited the CL with friends who were in a caravan. This is well kept round meadow next to the canal although not on the tow path side. It has hook ups, fresh water and toilet waste drain. It is about 20 minutes walk into the village where there are two pubs. Very peaceful with the only noise coming form the wildlife and boats chugging by.

I've read a review below that does not accurately describe the location.
We love this site. For us its what having a motorhome is all about. Parked deep in a wood, amongst the wildlife, peaceful, very very quiet, another world. With easy flat walks on your doorstep, what more do you need? Yes, its basic with grass pitches, but it's well cut, in great condition and very flat. If your fully equipped, surely all you need is EHU, fresh water and a waste disposal area…all provided.
Within a mile, is the beautiful village of Frampton on Severn, with its gastro pubs and cricket on the village green, it's a pleasant place to while away an hour or two.
Take an OS map and get the most out of all the public footpaths that lead off the nearby Gloucester - Sharpness Canal. I would say this is a great site for the spring and summer, maybe into the autumn, as the season changes.
Low score on Child friendliness, as the site allows direct unfenced access to the Sharpness Canal…. Ideal if you're an adult with a kayak though!

Nice little CL on the outskirts of a lovely village. Ideal stopover if you are going further South.
Not the easiest site to find.
Large lawned area although a bit remote.
Great for dogs with walks along the towpath.
10 min walk into the village which has a shop and 2 pubs. The pub nearest to the site does the most amazing pies! You must check these out!
Will probably return if I need a stopover again.

Absolute nightmare! Have travelled the length and breadth of the UK and this is the first site we've wished we could leave early. Ankle-deep mud, slug and snail infestations, the CDP (a covered hole in the ground) overflowing and with (yuck) things that float - it doesn't bear thinking about.
Yes, the rain had been horrific, but we've stayed on other rain-soaked sites and not had every surface coated in stinky mud. Even worse, the drinking water tap had green slime all around it through which one had to roll the water barrel.
Throw less-than-friendly owners/managers, not to mention a high price of £12/night for the most basic of facilities (to increase to £14/night, if can one believe it) into the mix and you have rather a mess.
This is a shame, because the site is in a good location with lovely walks along the canal, into the woods, and into town with its nice big green. Cannot recommend, and definitely won't be returning.

We used this CL for 1 night only,as a stop over on our way south. It was only 10 minutes from the M5 Motorway so is very convenient. The CL area is spacious with plenty of room for 5 vans.Grass was neatly cut. For dog owners there are numerous walks in the surrounding area. The nearby village of Frampton on Severn has (we were told ) the longest village green in England. There was a cricket match being played when we passed through.A couple of handy pubs and a Post office / general store were at the back of the green. There are also walks along the canal towpaths in the vicinity so very pleasant for a short stay.

Down a narrow windy lane at the end of the village of Fampton on Severn brings you to a magical little CL right by the Sharpness canal. An acre of mown field with 5 caravans and EHU, water waste and dustbins so fairly basic, but well worth it. There's great cycling and walking, WWT at Slimbridge, 2 great village pubs and cricket on the Village green and fishing on the canal. All this for 7.50p per night - wonderful.
