In Simple Terms, You Get What You Pay For!
The site is in a great position. Literally right on the sea front. It is a Dog Friendly Site and the beach in front of this site is a Dog Friendly section.
We were positioned in the top field which has only 3 hook up pitches. (Make sure you take a long lead as there is only 1 connection point). This area is fairly flat and is against the boundary wall next to the road. There is very little traffic so that is not a problem. There is a large play field for kids to play football and cricket. No swings or slides provided. Just a field. You do get the feeling that tourers are an after thought on this site. Very few spots for them as it is covered in static caravans.
Toilets : There are 3 blocks on the site and you will get a key for the doors. They are Very Very old and could do with an update as it looks very rough inside. Rusty pipes, broken patched up tiles etc. But, they are cleaned each day. Although this was sometimes hard to tell being so old. Make sure you take toilet roll and soap as none is provided. Showers are hot but again, very old. Loose pipes etc. Plenty of space, lots of toilets and a few showers. Never had to wait.
Shop : the shop has what you need. Papers, bread, milk etc. Not a lot more, but there is a Co-op within a 10 min walk.
On Site Bar : Neptunes Bar! And it certainly looks like it's namesake from TV's Benidorm show! couldn't go in, as they didn't let big dogs in (Considering how many dogs there was on site this was odd as it never looked busy) Not even outside seating.
Overall, the site is in a great position for the beach, the facilities are old and at £14 a night with electric in May, worth staying.

Just returned from a most enjoyable weekend at this site. We did not come for the beach or the club, and apart from walking our 2 dogs on the beach, we didn't visit either. We came to socialise with friends in the area, which we did outside of the camp. The camp was busy. We were actually pitched among the static vans, but the people around us (mainly private owners) were really friendly and came to chat. The owners were also really friendly. We paid £12 per night for the van, £1. 00 hook up and £1. 00 awning. We were right next to a toilet and shower block, which was clean but really in need of updating. Having said that, most of the users of the site do not really need to use the facilities and most modern tourers, including ours, come with full facilities on board, so the owners would get no return for investing in the modernisation of these blocks unless they recouped it from site users. There is a shop on site which stocks most necessities, and which we used. Tywyn is very close with shops and eating places, the Talyllyn steam railway is on the doorstep. We visited Aberdovey, which is beautiful. Not much in the area perhaps for teenagers, but there were lots of young children on the site and the beaches.

Have been to Neptune for the past few years with friends of ours, we like to fish. The beach is on your doorstep and is beautiful whatever the weather. A short drive or a pleasant walk to the town, where you can find a car bootsale on Saturdays, and curio shops to browse around, cute cafes and couple of pubs. Along the promenade there are a couple of arcades, chipshops and beach shops, nothing spectacular. We leave our 15 year old with family for the weekend as there's nothing to occupy a teenager here unless you are prepared to drive each day, as we only go for short fishing breaks we don't use car once there.
I truly enjoy my weekends at Neptune. Although I can't comment on the club, my friend has been in there and she wasn't that impressed(and neither were the locals when she won at bingo!) A nice relaxing site, a step back in time for some.
Train station in walking distance (about 20mins stroll)and local buses.
Friendly shop on site. Peace and quiet. The view from this site is lovely and the sound of the sea can be heard when all quiet in the evening.

This is a nice site in a great location near the sea.As it is mainly a static site the shower and toilet block are very basic although they do have plenty of hot water hot water. There is no elsan point although there is a drain outside of the loo's that we used to empty our loo.
On site there is a small shop and a clubhouse this club house is separate to Neptune and is run by the town for all the sites in Tywyn.
The warden does plenty of patrols especially when the weather is bad (we had high winds and he checked that we were ok )
Rates are very reasonable

Visited neptune hall at easter time, situated in a nice place right by the sea, nothing on site though except for club house! but was looking forward to a beer and a bit of entertainment,oh NO! no enterainment on at all considering it was easter week totally disappointed!.
Tywyn is a lovely place sea, and beautiful surrounding, but wish there was more there to entertain children, if the weather is bad nothing much to do for the kids except a penny arcade on the front.
But there is a swimming pool and a few nice restaurants, I think a car is a necessary if you have kids so you can travel to corris, barmouth etc.
But overall if you want a nice relaxing holiday with nice views tywyn is the place
