This is a lovely site run by lovely people who keep the site in excellent condition, facilities are a little basic but with ample fully serviced pitches available at very reasonable prices this is not a problem at all. All perfect if you want a nice quiet spacious site. A previous comment was regarding the fact that they now want the fee upfront, I cannot blame the owners at all as they told us that this was very regrettable but they had been let down that many times by people simply not turning up and leaving them with many empty pitches which they could not then fill. This would of course ultimately lead to higher prices for the rest of us trustworthy caravanners, so I wholeheartedly back their decision. They have even refunded us in the past when we had to make an emergency dash home earlier than expected. So courtesy works both ways.

Been coming to this campsite since we discovered it six years ago! Little treamble is a proper hidden gem amongst all those huge campsites around Newquay. Lots of space where you are not on top of other campers. No clubhouse - no bad thing! Just a quiet retreat with friendly welcoming owners who are flexible in their approach and always try to accommodate you when they can.
Facilities are clean and tidy with laundry room if you need it. The is a small on site shop with the basics open for short time in the morning and afternoon, papers can also be ordered.
I honestly can't find a bad word to say about this campsite, probably the best campsite I have ever visited, and the sunsets are amazing!

Stayed at this site July 2014 Very nice quiet site with lovely helpful people running it. The area is very quiet slightly awkward access to the main road into Newquay. There is a Caravan club site just down the road access arriving is supposed to be restricted to after lunch due to the narrow lane. I cant see a problem with paying in advance as if people keep letting the site owner down what else can he do he is running a business

I tried to book this site for 2 weeks from 3rd September for 2 weeks and have been told that I must pay a deposit of £30. 00 and pay the balance 28 days in advance of arriving.
I am writing this as we have stayed on this site 5 times in the last 6 years and have only been asked for a small deposit and pay when we arrive. They have got new last year, 5 static caravans and must be into the extra money from these and no thought has gone into the existing people who have helped this CL site to go from strength to strength. I will no longer visit this site and will not recommend this site at all to anyone.
The site is good and the showers and toilets are always clean but the waste from the caravans is overflowing at the bins and are not emptied enough.
The owners are are very nice people but to ask for full payment in advance is asking too much.

With reference to a previous review, we had been going on this CL several times a year since it first opened.
When they started the pay up front we were told not to worry we will always sort something out.
In June we had an emergency and had to cut the holiday short, we were informed we DON'T GIVE REFUNDS, we also had to cancel a month in July due to continuing medical problems, we were told we don't give refunds but we were informed that they had waiting list for the weeks that we cancelled.
The didn't even offer to transfer any money to another booking.
Very strange that some people are getting refunds.

Very friendly and welcoming. We stayed for Easter in our VW Transporter T4, it was the opening weekend. Shop wasn't opened but looked like it would be well stocked. We were in the members field as only 5 other vans there. Only one shower and 3 toilets but wasn't a problem. There were 2 other fields with another shower / toilet block though. Facilities weren't heated so was very cold, but was early April.
Amazing views and very quiet. Excellent location perfect for getting everywhere 30min to st Ives, 30 mins to padstow, recommend the coastal road through Newquay. 40min to Falmouth and approx 1hr to lands end.
Only down side for us was there were no washing up facilities, perhaps more suited for caravans.
Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would rate this campsite.

Quiet, well kept touring site. Caters mainly for caravans - but I was made very welcome in a tent.
Clean toilet/shower block in excellent condition. Small shop on site that seemd to sell lots of things.
Spacious pitches -most seemd to have hook ups. Hedges separate 3 fields.
Close to Perranporth and Newquay and the A30.
Didn't notice any pubs etc nearby.
Had a very pleasant stay

Stayed here for 2 weeks in June this year, lovely friendly site with spacious pitches. Very quiet and relaxing. Very reasonably priced. Small shop on site that has a good variety of things on sale, but no daily newspapers available, nearest village for papers or a pub is about 2 miles away. Lots of lovely places to visit and many beautiful beaches. Well worth a visit, we would definitely return to this site if we're lucky enough to be back in Cornwall again
