Amazing helpful staff, they couldn’t do more for us. Pub food was delicious and worth paying the £67 for 3 mains, 1 dessert and drinks.
Only £15 with electric hook up, toilets etc.
Only downside was when the pub tipped out it was noisy, with young people shouting what seemed liked for ages at each other.
Was some road noise but didn’t effect sleep.

As previous reviewers have stated key deposit needed, sometimes we have to wait for entry, but it is worth it.
Cheap, lovely location with great walks all round, the pub is very good.
Only toilet, waste facilities, water and hook ups available, but its enough.
Beautiful river at bottom of site, the oldest concrete bridge in England takes you into Norfolk.
There is a fantastic cafe/farm shop across the road, Harleston itself has some very traditional shops, a supermarket and fuel, it is a very nice rural town if some size.
We have been several times and will go many more, probably with lynndack and her slave.
Great for children as plenty to see, but watch the river, big field to play in, a playground over the road.

Beautiful location beside the river, locals fishing for dinner. Field is large but is beside a busy road.
Arrived earlier than the pub opened and a helpful girl called the landlady to come downstairs. Remember to have a £20 deposit as you check in as you will NOT be issued a key to the field gate without leaving a deposit in advance - I like sites that are a little mor trusting and let you return with the key deposit when you come in for a meal or a drink.
Toilets open during pub hours and are clean. No showers.
Ate in the pub for dinner Sunday evening - food standard pub fair, priced accordingly.

The site is basically a field behind the Black Swan Pub.
The pitching area is very spacious in CS / CL terms, mostly very slightly sloping, well prepared and planted with some small trees. As previously noted, the gate stays locked except for loading and unloading which is nice. Pedestrian access is available at all times, but you leave your car in the pub car park which seemed quite safe to me. It is not entirely peaceful as there is a little road noise.
The wc facility is conveniently located at the back of the pub. It is simple but very well maintained
The Black Swan itself is a very substantial building indeed which suggests that it was once an important coaching inn. The interior is very smart and laid out as part pub and part restaurant. Four real ales were available when we visited and evening main courses typically range £10 - £16. The small garden / outside seating area is absolutely beautiful.
Homersfield is a very attractive and unspoilt village.
Worth a visit is the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum (entry free / donation) situated a couple of miles along the B1062. Exactly at its entrance is the Flixton Buck pub which is the home of the Sole Bay Jazz Band who play there every Thursday.
To sum up: A classic and comfortable CS / CL type site.

This is a lovely site close to the river. You can park on the pub car park and carry your camping equipment to your pitch or if you would rather have your car next to your tent, you need a key to the gate. This has to be collected from and returned to the pub during opening hours. There is a toilet but no shower facilities that we could find. We stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend and were pleasantly surprised that we were the only tents pitched. There is quite a lot of road noise both day and night, but this didn't spoil the peaceful atmosphere. If you like fishing, walking, cycling or just chilling, then this is the perfect site. We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

We were a bit apprehensive about staying at this site after reading the review by Adrian. But it was the only site with availability in the area as we had left booking rather late.
Very glad we did though. In fact,we were so happy with the site that we extended our stay from seven to eleven nights!
The site is in such a lovely location with wildlife from dawn till dusk - a muntjack deer was a regular in the early evening.
There is a £20 deposit for the key to the five-bar metal gate at the site entrance which makes the site more secure than most at only £8/night. The loo has hot and cold water to the sink, liquid soap and paper towels.Cleaning takes place every morning before the pub opens.
The owners are pleasant enough and leave you to your own devices but stick rigidly to the five van cl rule.
A little haven in a great area. We'll definitely return.

Arrived at this pub based site at 5.30 p.M. Owners most unfriendly and wouldn't let us on to field until pub opened at six even though they came, reluctantly over to talk to us. The field was not secure in anyway and we felt that as we could not safely leave our stuff

Super little site adjacent to the River Waveney and I believe a good fishing spot. The camping field is adjacent to the pub which serves scrumptous food and has a lovely pub garden. The camping field is separated by a hedge and there are nice views from the site. Peaceful and relaxed. Electrics and water and a toilet - all very clean and well kept and tidy. Lovely walks around Homersfield and the Saints. Walked to the St Peters Brewery which used to be an Abbey - lovely countryside and well worth the walk and the Brewery has a lovely garden overlooking a moat and serves drinks and food. A great place for both a weekend visit or a weeks visit as central to such a lot of things to do and places to visit in Suffolk and Norfolk. Hope to return again in 2008 both on our own with out two small dogs and with family and friends.
