We are a 8. 2m Motorhome and used this site on our way to Spain in late September. It was easy to find using our satnav.

The owner was very helpful and allocated us a large pitch with electric. We paid €22 pn using our ACSI card.

The showers and toilets were very very modern and clean.

There is a drive over grey waste with the Elsan next to it. We bought cooked fries from their cafe to go with our tea and ordered bread and pain au Chocolat for breakfast.

We didn’t use the other facilities as it just a one night stop and it was raining.

The site season closed 1 November 2024.

We would use this site again as a 1 nighter.

Just stayed one night here on our way south. The site is five miles from the A10. The woman in the office did not speak English but allocated a pitch to us which was flat, well cut and hedged. There were only three other units on site so the facilities were clean. Overall the site was smart and there were a lot of chalets but all unoccupied in May. One on side of the site is forest and the site road leads down to open fields although the rest of the site is bound by the village. A reviewer refers to a chicken farm but I didn't notice that. The village itself wasn't interesting and didn't have any shops that I could see on the short walk I took. This site made a good overnight halt but isn't in an area where I would want to stay although very convenient for Futurescope.

We stayed 3 nights, mostly to visit Futuroscope but also to avoid travelling during the tremendous gales/storms which swept across France towards the end of August 2015. The site is well signposted from various directions despite being in a fairly obscure location.

Our pitch, which was allocated to us, was very spacious and backed on to what must be a poultry farm next door. A bit of squawking was evident sometimes but ok at night.

Toilet facilities were ok, but not spotlessly clean. Chemical disposal was in a toilet block in the mobile home area. There are strict rules about disposing of 'grey' waste (eau usee), but the clear signs were ignored by many, which I thought rather rude. (not just Brits, either).

Access to Futuroscpoe was easy, though the whole complex in that area is vast and complicated with many hotels and commercial/office developments. A visit to Futuroscope is of course a must, and makes a great day out at a very reasonable price compared with British theme parks. The evening laser 'spectacle' really is spectacular! The best 'ride' (simulator) we did was Arthur 4-D - we did it twice! We also visited Chauvigny to the east of Poitiers (not very interesting) and Angles sur l'Anglin a bit further north east. The latter is a very pretty town with an interesting museum of pre-historic cave painting/carving.

We did not know this area, but were working our way back North, and from the ACSI description, this seemed a good, quiet campsite which we could use as a base for exploration. It fulfilled those criteria. It was the only campsite we stayed on during our 5 weeks touring France that was backed onto by a residential housing estate. Only part of the toilet blocks were open, despite this being 'high season'. But facilities were clean. We had booked ahead (which given the number of vacant sites throughout our 5-day stay was unnecessary!), and were charged a 10€ reservation fee. A shame they couldn't have said:'no need to book, we've plenty of space', which we were told by another site. Bread available on site, from the very pleasant owners (French: I guess the site has changed hands since one of the earlier reviews on this site). Our French wasn't good enough to explain we wanted to find a 'park & ride' facility in Poitiers. We were told there weren't any, but then saw signs to several. There was a snack bar, but seemingly not open while we were there.

We stayed here for only 2 nights in order to visit Futuroscope, for which it was well placed, being about 10-15 minutes away by car. The receptionist was friendly and efficient and allocated us a pitch, even though the site was virtually empty, but I'm sure we could have chosen a different one if it hadn't suited. The pitches were flat, spacious and closely mown and arranged in such a way that very few are backed onto by another pitch. Bread was available from Reception in the mornings if pre-ordered the day before. The pool area looked inviting and is with the crazy golf and play area near the site entrance, though nowhere is very far away from anywhere! Good value with the ACSI card out of season.

Reviewers- mature couple with campervan and bikes.

Our experience at this site was not the best due to heavy rain.

We chose the site from the ACSI book to be sure of them being open in this early season. We found the site with a little difficulty, the instructions were from a main road, not motorway, and no motorway junction was given. The site is in a country location at the edge of a small village. The village is not very interesting, we didn't find any shops.

The reception was quick and efficient. We were allocated a pitch, which was about as far away from the sanitary block as could be, bearing in mind it rained all the time, and the site had very few units on. I think the pitch was a smaller one, for our small van.

There are chalets at the top end of the site, and a big field at the back for children to play, as well as a volleyball net, crazy golf, and a play area for smaller children. The swimming pool was closed.

The sanitary block is unisex with an inside heated facility and an outdoor one which was closed. There were plenty of toilets as a couple of outside ones were available, but the showers were busy and we had to wait, we suspected families in the chalets were using them too. The water was lovely and hot.

I would say this was a useful overnight site, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay for any length of time.

Good site with facilities as described. Toilets/showers kept very clean. Pool closed Sept but looks good. Accepts ACSI card. British owners helpful. Large central area for kids to play. Pitches large and well maintained. Three supermarkets within 6km at Neuville and 13km to Poitiers - the nearest big city. Market at Neuville on Thursday and Sunday. Quiet nice area. Quiet local roads for cycling also paths for offroad cycling to Avanton. What else can I say? 500 words is a lot of words but the site 'does what it says on the tin' and that's it
