Please note we have been advised that this site no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches, although the pub itself is still open at the time of writing
If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

Me my wife, 8 year old daughter and her friend stayed here for the bank holiday weekend. Upon arrival we were very disappointed to find we were camping literally in a pub car park.
The Landlady was very abrupt, rude and not very accommodating towards us, the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Throughout our stay the electric continuously tripped out even when using a proper travel kettle and had to go in to the pub several times to ask them to reset it.
On the plus side it has lovely views and the meals in the pub are excellent. The site is very close to skipton centre which has lovely shops and a great market

Well, I don't know where the previous person had stayed but there is not a pitch for all tastes, there is no toilet block, no information hut and no warden or paper man. This is literally the pub car park, if you need the toilet you can use the pub but luckily we have a toilet and shower in our caravan.
It is a very busy pub on a main road with no facilities for children at all. Our 4 year old girl had no play area but there is a field next to the car park to play ball games etc.
The food in the pub is really good. We had a bar snack on the Friday night then a full meal on the Sunday afternoon. Beautiful food well worth waiting for. The landlady/manageress is the not friendliest person we have come across and unhelpful and would probably benefit from a customer service course.
Make sure you take a kettle for your hob as an electric one may trip the electric immediately. You have to go to the pub to get someone to come and reset it which is an absolute pain.
Another positive is Skipton which has a lovely shopping area. To summarise, great food, but £15 for a pub car park with no facilities. Will not be returning.

Stayed here for a long weekend. We visited this site for a look in July when we were staying at another CC site nearby.
When we asked if we could have a look round we were struck at how friendly and accommodating the warden was, showing us a very nice touring area and pointing out some good walks. We were sold and booked there and then for the following month.
The site is quite large and has a pitch for all tastes. We found it quiet even though it was school holidays.
There is an information cabin and there is a delivery of newspapers every morning(makes himself known with a car horn)you pay a couple of pence extra.
Clean and tidy toilet block.
Nice walks from the site. You can walk to Grassington its about 1.5 miles. We crossed the bridge and then walked down by the river and up to the car park,on way back we crossed the Linton Falls bridge and again walked by the river on the other side and back up to the main road.
Grassington is a quaint cobble stoned village with everything you need, we have eaten at the Forresters and this was reasonably priced.
Kilnsey Park is worth as visit on a nice day, as is the village of Kettlewell.
We will definitely go back our border terrier still wants to chase the many rabbits that populate this site.

We have visited this site on many occasions, as it is a handy stopping off point for us on our way into Yorkshire, and is a short walk into Skipton. The local bus stops outside the site(you just wave it down). The Inn is well known locally for it's good quality food and the service is good. The staff and the customers here are friendly and helpful.
The facilities are basic, hook-up, water and Elson emptying point. If you need toilets when the pub is shut you will need your own. When we first started using this site the charge was £10 per night with no deposit when you booked, but in recent years the price has gone up to £12.50 per night.
When we booked this last time they wanted the full payment of £12.50 up front, which surprised me. This is a fairly busy site, so I suppose they feel they can do that.

We have just enjoyed 3 nights at this site, the views from site are lovely. There are no showers, but you can use the pub toilets when open between 7am and 11pm.
The pub staff are very friendly and the food is very good.
You can walk into Skipton from site via an hardcore path through the field (parallel to the road) then through a residential area, it's mostly down hill and takes approx. 20 mins, 3.50 for a taxi back if needed.
Being adjacent to a car park means it is not really very child friendly.
Skipton is a very nice historical market town, with walks along the canal and canal boat trips, very good fish and chips from Bizzi Lizzi's, and great beers in the narrowboat pub.
We also enjoyed good food in the 'Tex Mex Restaurant' and 'Sylhet Indian Restaurant'.
We found the 6 pound entrance fee into Skipton Castle a bit steep as there is very little to see.
Overall we enjoyed the location and the site, although we found 15 pounds per night expensive for a cl site.

This Camping and Caravan Club Certified site offers only the very basic facilities; fresh water and a wastewater point, but with the addition of electric hook-ups. As you drive up the B6265, the Inn can be clearly seen on the right.
The pitches are to the lower side and rear of the Inn, where the hard-standing pitches are just an extension of the car park, separated by a thin grass strip. The grass pitches are off the car park area.
There are 2 electric hook-up points, one for each row, and positioned between the grass and hard-standing area. There are three sockets per post. We were at the end of one row and found that our 25-metre cable was just too short, but by turning our van around, the cable reached and we looked out over fields and hills - perfect.
Watch out for the wastewater / chemical point, it is about a metre high and it's a devil to lift and empty the waste hog. Rubbish is tossed into a near by commercial-style ‘Dumpster’. In the field behind here, the staff burn the Inn’s cardboard waste.
Craven Heifer Inn is very popular, with a bar, restaurant and en-suite rooms, the car park is busy but not too noisy. The owners and staff are friendly and the restaurant menu is very good. We Inn toilets clean and modern.
Skipton is well worth a visit. Use the local traffic only route for a quick way into Skipton.
Bolton Abbey is near by too, and on route, you will pass a LPG station if you need bottled
Gas. Morrison’s, TESCO and M&S food stores are in and around Skipton.
Nice site, but a bit expensive. Would use this site again as it is well placed for touring and the Inn bar and restaurant is handy.

Nice location for skipton but could do with a bit of a tidy up. No showers and have to use toilets inside pub which is difficult after closing time. Just basic water tap and water drainage. Could do with a porta cabin for shower and toilets and then I definitely would return. Food in the pub is smashing, very busy on Sundays, but worth the wait. A nice walk into Skipton, but a taxi ride back due to being uphill.
