 This site has had terrible reviews and we nearly didn't book, but we had recently stayed at Carlton Meres park and loved it, so decided to take a chance. I am so glad we did we had a great time, staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, caravan was immaculate and as I have difficulty walking I asked to be fairly close to amenities. I booked a gold plus caravan and because of disability was booked into an adapted van which was within a stone's throw of all amenities. All in all we had a marvellous time and I am now looking for another site with park holidays for later in the year. I really recommend this park, of course quality depends on class of caravan so I would recommend booking as good as you can afford.

Well, this was an experience, never to be repeated!
We had caravan no.1. Right next to the main road where the lorries thunder down towards the harbour, opposite the heavy haulage place, where some of the lorries turn into (crashing into a huge hole in the road in the process, making an enormous noise) and a few hundred metres from the train line!
This noise went on all night! My 2 children found it very difficult to sleep and that really spoilt our holiday.
There is an indoor swimming pool, but the roof was broken and it rained on us!
There are some lovely places to go however, the port is fascinating, and the views around the Orwell Bridge are great!
