Just home from staying with this caravan park for a couple of weeks, Nice quiet country park. It does what it says on the can, fishing alongside set in the country, pubs less than 1 mile away, shop in Sutton st James 1/2 mile, Wisbech 6 miles they also have camping and tourers. Kids also did enjoy themselves. Wee you all next year have a good season

Lovely friendly people gave us cup of tea on arrival, which after 70 km cycling was extremely welcome. A quiet spot with a pub just over 1 mile away in Sutton St James. Nearby shopping in Long Sutton which must be about 3 miles away. When we returned 6 days later, it was to a warm and friendly welcome and it felt like coming home. We loved the site and will use it again. There was fishing available next to site. There were ducks waddling between sites happy as ducks. Also there are caravans available.

The site is in a very quiet location next to one of the fenland drains and with a rather tricky turn in off a little back road.
Children seem to be discouraged as neither bikes nor ball games are permitted (which suited us as we don't have any!)
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The is no shop either on site or within walking distance. Nor is there a pub. Nor much of anything else. The nearest towns, Spalding, Wisbech and Kings Lynn are each about 15 miles away.
Toilets are clean. Showers cost 50p and give a long hot shower, or so my wife says, but the men's was out of action during most of our stay.
The site is very quiet, except when the staff chose to hold a private BBQ/ kareoke.
Maybe it is a good site if you are a fisherman but we found it too remote.

We visited this site as a family to be able to see the annual Spalding flower show. Malcolm and Johnny were great, they were pleasant throughout, and even bought the kids ice creams.
The shower blocks were immaculate, but unfortunately during our visit the showers were out of action in the ladies. Malcolm was most apologetic and arranged alternative options in the males or in a cottage. There is a 50p charge for the shower but the hot water was just that. The dishwashing facilities are good, and free. They are within a building so away from the elements. There was always plenty of hot water.
The site is for people wanting peace and tranquillity as there is no shop, bar or playground. However the tent field is next to the road, and there is occasional traffic noise, particularly early in the morning.
The downside of this site is the lack of local amenities, unless you have 2 heads for the local pub which is 1.5 miles away in Sutton St James. Shops in Long Sutton are better than Sutton St James.
