We visited this site in September 2010. They have 2 vans permanently on site which restricts the amount of touring vans they can fit on (they are C & C C listed), though they did not bother to check membership cards or actually really bother with the limits (there were at least 5 nights out of our fortnight when they had more occupied vans on the site than they should). The owners are dog friendly and dogs are allowed. There are rabbits all over the field so make sure all dogs are Frontlined or similar anti flea and tick treatment.
The field was heavily scored (dug up) by rabbits and had medium length grass. This could cause a hazard when walking across it and actually caused me to fall over in my awning (a previously undiscovered hole) and severely bruise my ribs.
The water supply is not the best. The clean water supply is after the waste container rinse tap (this is not what should happen as waste contamination can be drawn into the drinking water supply).
The location of the site is excellent and ideal for touring Cornwall. However the approach to the site is about a half mile of narrow lane and it is a difficult turn in so nervous towers will have fun! The site is well hidden from the main roads that pass nearby and you do get noise from the Penzance railway line, but this is excusable as on the whole it is a quiet site. Redruth and Truro are just a few minutes away. Recommendation: Try the Pasty shop up the West End, real Cornish recipe pasties, just cheap, knocks the filling out of Warrens!
Recycling is well set out and labelled. Easy to follow instructions. Please take note the rubbish is meticulously inspected by the owner. Very meticulously.

Fantastic site. Quiet and spacious. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The site is adult-only and dog-friendly. For dog owners, there are bridle-paths leading directly from the site so it's good for dog-walking. Access to the A30 nearby means that it's easy to get to local towns or the coast. Great place, would use again if visiting Cornwall. Ensure you follow the directions given by the owners. If you come up the road the wrong way you will have to go over a single-track bridge which has a sharp turn after it. We did this and luckily we made it because we have a small van! Larger caravans will have difficulties with this. However, if you travel in the way the owners suggest, the road is wide and straight.

I have not actually stayed here as it is only 4 miles from home but I regularly cycle past and it looks a lovely little site. There is another site a hundred yards down the lane which is always fairly crowded but Woodbury always seems peaceful with few visitors. If you want a quiet site with few facilities, this is ideal. Handy for the coast and Truro, pubs in Chacewater, Blackwater and at Chiverton (sadly slightly too far to walk) nice and level.
