Perfect quiet site with only 12 statics, the owner Alec is friendly, approachable and helpful.
Our van was ideal, full cooker, micro, fridge/freezer.
Amazing always on Wi-Fi as well as a smart tv.
Great location with so much to see and experience.
Don’t delay give Alec a call to get booked up.

Lovely location, friendly owner and decent amenities, which are always nice and clean.
Handy for the excellent Pembrokeshire minibus services which are such a boon if, like us, you love walking the coastal path in this part of the world.
The Ship Inn, just up the road, has decent guest ales and food.

Great campsite!
Despite coming without having booked on the Bank Holiday Weekend, we could stay for one night. The toilet block is very clean and the site as well.
You can reach the Pembrookshire Coastal Path within few minutes, which makes it an ideal site for hiker and cyclists following the coastline.

Most of the reviews have already commented on the most important factors to which I would add:
There is a slight slope to the electric pitches which are amongst the statics, once you have wedges under everything that needs them or facing the right direction you really don't notice it too much.
All fees applicable here are reasonable and transparent from the pitch fee, to the 20p shower cost and even the washing machine (£3 a 40 min wash, £1 for 20 mins tumble dryer)
Washing up facilities are in the toilet block so not ideal for mixed sexes washing up together (ie mum with boys or dad with girls).
If you don't mind sharing the toilets with spiders or even shower with a tiny toad (which I evicted before starting) this is a true gem of a site offering excellent value for money.
The above statement probably makes the shower block sound worse than it actually is so I would like to add it also looked freshly painted, toilet paper was always plentiful and the bin was emptied on a regular basis.
If we ever return to this area again I wouldn't hesitate to book this site again.

Lovely little site, with everything you need for a comfortable stay whether in tent, caravan or mobile home. There are two immaculately kept fields, one with 12 very smart mobile homes and space for 5 or so caravans, and another one mostly used by tent campers/backpackers. (but we put our caravan here) There are excellent toilet/shower/laundry facilities - showers are charged at 20p, but as the site fee is only £13 this is reasonable. The site is in a sheltered spot, a little away from the cliffs, which is a plus in the sometimes windy conditions enjoyed in the area.
Of course, visiting this area is all about walking the coastal path. You can join it in about 10 minutes from the site through Trefin village. There is a pub in the village but we didn't use it, and a big Spar shop at the garage in Square and Compass on the main road.
Be aware that if you are driving the coast road with a caravan through Fishguard to/from Cardigan, the bit through Fishguard is very narrow/steep.

Very quiet, well run and friendly. The ideal campsite. Not heavily marketed because it is small and relies on word of mouth.
Facilities are modern and clean but the showers are metered.
There are no hard standings but the grass is like a lawn. There are no views from the site but it is close to the village.

We have just spent Easter weekend at this lovely little site. We usually camp, but didn't fancy the cold so contacted them here at Prendergast. He couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.
The site itself is quite small, just 12 static caravans and a small camping field.
The caravan we stayed in was spotless, very well equipped (with a proper cooker)and surprisingly didn't smell damp at all considering its the start of the season.
The site is immaculate as is the laundry room and campers' showers and toilets.
Its a lovely base from which to tour, Trefin village itself is lovely and nowhere is too far to travel in this little peninsula. A little gem of a holiday site which welcomes children and gives them room to play.

This is one of our favourite sites.
In the early 70's we camped here - but have now (with age!) progressed to a touring caravan - and re-discovered this site again.
The site is in the village of Trefin and is very quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by lovely countryside and lanes.
There are two small fields - one for tents and the other across a little brook - for the statics - with space at the back end for 3 or 4 tourers/motorhomes.
Don't be put off by there being statics - as a previous reviewer said - there is a charm about this site which encompasses the 12 statics too.
The facilities are excellent.
A new block housing showers toilets a disabled/family room and a laundry room.
The owner is probably the best 'site host' we have ever come across. Friendly and helpful and a true gentleman.
The charges per night for a caravan and EHU are very reasonable, and the same all year round which is great.
The village has a pub, The Ship, doing food and also a little cove which you can park above and walk down to. Very pretty - glorious sunsets.
About a mile out of the village back up on the main Fishguard to St. Davids road is a garage shop which sells just about everything. Or you can go to Fishguard or St. Davids for small supermarkets.
We love the area around Trefin - little bays like Abercastle - the atmospheric Porthgain with its lovely pub The Sloop Inn - Abereiddy bay and Fishguard Old Harbour.
We like the pub at Mathry for nice food, good Sunday lunch, and its conservatory with grape vines for a nice place to eat.
Goodwick has great fish and chips.
There is no playpark as such for children but plenty of room for them to play on the grassy areas.
A lovely site in a lovely setting kept immaculately by the owner - I can't recommend it more highly. We look forward to going back there every year!

Late September booking, owner very obliging as short notification,
good clean modern caravans, clean site, electric, gas included,
quiet site with pub, shop reasonably close by and the local bus service brilliant and no pets allowed on site.
Cost of caravan overall very reasonable. Might camp there next year.
Very convenient to the Pembrokeshire coastal path so ideal for an overnight stop. Also midway between St Davids and Fishguard.
If travelling by car, well signposted from main road. Lovely small sandy, pebbly bays to visit most accessible by car

Don't be put off by the name tent users. This is a perfectly pleasant little site in the heart of Trefin (or Trevine). It is mostly a static site but there is a separate area and access for campers. The camping area is quite small so its probably 10 pitches at a maximum, but the site is level and enclosed in a pleasant grassed area with a babbling brook which separates the tents from the statics. Not that the statics are unpleasant at all - the static site actually has a little character about it!
We found the site tidy and quiet and the facilities were OK. The loos could have been cleaner though - note to campsite owners in general - why have you started to remove urinals from the gents?? Just means that the normal loos get used as urinals?!. Showers were OK and were 20p for 4mins. The time remaining is displayed on the digital timer so at least you're not left guessing if you've enough time to rinse that shampoo away. Again as with many campsite showers, an area to deal with clothes etc away from shower spray would be good (but at least there were clothes hooks)
Cost was £9 a night for small tent + 2 and a car - pretty reasonable really and the owner is a very friendly chap.
If you want to eat/drink nearby, the Ship Inn is a short walk away in Trefin - unfortunately the bar is somewhat devoid of character and the extension more so, although the (young) staff were friendly if not slightly hapless. But beer was good and food OK. The Square and Compass is a longer walk or more practically a short drive, the ambiance is livelier and the staff were friendly and more on the ball, but the food really was fairly average - poor.
On the whole this is an ideal little site in a convenient and quiet location - would certainly return.
