A beautiful place to camp and participate in various available activities.
I did find the pitches a bit close together but that didn't matter too much as we were there for cycling and boating.
It would be nice if people using the camp site got a reduction on the self launch fees as it all worked out a bit pricey in all.

Lovely site, the cafe on site is very over priced.
A tiny ice tub for £4.
Nice walks by the lake.
We came for the SUP event.
Helpful staff and clean facilities.

Fabulous location, lovely staff, up to date and clean facilities.
No extra charge for my dogs or awning.
The cafe is rather expensive and there was nowhere to empty the chemical toilet that I could see.
However all in all a really lovely place to camp with the lake in close proximity.

A very pleasant site in a great location.
Cafe during the day next to the site. Nearest pub in Brompton Regis approx 2 miles away.
Lovely staff clean simple facilities.
We were here for the Exmoor open water swim and it was a good discovery.
We walked round the lake and there are plenty of walks you could do and cycle trails.
A very enjoyable stay.

We were in the summer overspill camping on August BH weekend and had THE most relaxing few days I've had in a while, very quiet away from it all site!
We chose here mainly as we were also camping with another family and with teens / preteens and we wanted access to the watersports which we all thoroughly enjoyed. It's also within the Dark Skies area so was well worth taking the telescope too.
The overspill allowed and had firepits for hire and had non marked pitches so we made a very sociable area with our friends!
The facilities were basic and as clean as possible given the site was probably at capacity, sometimes with a queue, but plenty of hot water when needed.
I'd return again if I was in the area.

Super friendly wardens at a wonderful site.
Perfect stay to be able to participate in the Exmoor swim in the lake.
Facilities good - particularly liked the recycling tubs in each pitch to encourage recycling into their big bins.

Fantastic location. Lots to do close by.
No internet or phone signal which was very liberating especially for my two teenagers 😂.
The only improvement would be more toilets.

We liked the campsite, it had toilets and showers, although they could be cleaned a bit more frequently.
The water sports are very expensive though and so Is the cafe which is a shame had they been cheaper we would have done an activity. The high ropes were £40! The play park was sweet

We have just returned from 2 nights camping in the overflow fields at Wimbleball and LOVED it. We camp regularly, and this has, by far, been the most relaxing and friendly stay we have had in a long time. From the welcome at reception to our fellow campers; like-minded, happy, polite people.
The site is smaller than we’re used to, but that made it much nicer. We usually use electric hook-up but managed perfectly well without…no tech for the kids (9 & 12), which meant they actually enjoyed more of the great outdoors! The overflow field actually had more space so they could easily kick a ball about.
Not far to walk to the lake so we managed to walk our kit down easily.
Great weekend. Will definitely book again (& probably choose the non-electric, overflow field). Thank you Dave & team 😃
