We - husband, myself, 2 daughters and 3 dogs spent bank holiday weekend here, Friday to Monday. As we arrived at the site late afternoon, we were greeted by the site owner, who showed my husband a choice of pitches. We were very happy with one that had a fenced patio attached. Regular holiday makers on either side of the pitch, were very friendly and willing to engage in conversation.

The views as you drove up to the campsite of the surrounding hills and sea were lovely. Nefyn, Pwllheli and Porthmadog are all close by. A lively market at Pwllheli on Friday and Sunday which is a seaside town with a beautiful harbour and sandy beach.

The shower and toilet block was clean, the showers were powerful and hot. Next to the site was a golf course and a children's play area with a slide and swings in the centre of the site. The only downside was that there was only one road leading to the campsite, which was an ascending road, and if you were towing your caravan up or down it and met oncoming traffic, the road wasn't wide enough and there weren't any pulling in areas, in order to accommodate two lane traffic.

This aside, at £15 a night this was a 'good value' touring caravan site.

We have stayed here for 2 years running, there still wasn't another shower block, just a rather run down toilet portacabin which does need replacing.

The showers weren't very good as the water kept stopping.

However on the plus side, and the reason we returned, the campsite is very friendly, and the kids enjoyed the golf course on site too.

Nefyn is such a beautiful place I would recommend going somewhere in the area.

The nearest shops are a 5 min journey in the car, and we did have a delivery from Tesco booked before we went which came in handy! (The site is a farm address- so Tesco on line sees it as a home and will deliver)

Very friendly site well worth the money. A bit out of the way but views are fantastic and Nefyn is only a few miles away.

Facilities were of a good clean standard and while we were there they were putting in additional swings for the younger children.

Not much for the teenagers to do unless they like golf or mountain biking in which case they are spoilt for choice at this site.

But go karting is only 30 minutes away and the beach at Nefyn is spectacular and reasonably sheltered and a pleasant walk through the championship golf course to boot.

Unless facilities for teenagers improved and the small toilet cabin replaced ( in the pipeline) This is a second toilet block the first is of a basic but clean standard with showers, I can not rate this site as a ten yet but it is very close.

I would definitely recommend the site but it is more geared towards caravans but do not let that put you off if you have a tent.

Most of the vans seem to be on an annual pitch and so people get to know each other this results in many of the guests knowing each other on a first name basis and if you have young children you will quickly find yourself in the flow with these very friendly people after all it is not just the owners that make a site memorable but the other people staying there as well.

 - A fairly small site, not much space for tents, majority of site is caravans.

- Very prettily situated on a hilltop with panoramic views of the coast, mountains and fields.

- Well worth £12 a night.

- Very quiet site, we were the only tent!

- Friendly and eccentric staff, very kindly.

- Shower block good condition although had curtains to pull closed instead of door, not a problem though. FREE showers.

- Golf course attached, good value and fun.

- Amenities a car journey away at Nefyn, stunning sandy beach there.
