An update on my 2015 review. We used this site as an overnight before the Shuttle.

It was a previous favourite but is no longer usable. Wash-up was derelict. Chemical WC disposal was repulsive with no way of flushing. Sanitary facility was horrid.

Clearly the present owner has no interest in anything other than her livery yard. And she wanted 18 Euros for the privilege.

The site at La Capelle des Boulogne is a good nearby alternative

Very little has changed since the last review in 2008 - green, rustic and laid-back. Toilets and showers are not state-of-the-art but are clean, well maintained and perfectly adequate. A very useful site for overnighting to or from the Channel.

Small site convenient for channel ports. With all necessary facilities. Pleasant rural surroundings and run by a charming French couple who try hard to speak to you in English and make you feel most welcome. A very enjoyable stay and will use this site regularly when passing through the channel Ports.

This was our second stay here, having previously stopped in winter (there was a freezing sleet driving across as Gabi helped us onto hard-standing and sorted out a hook-up wire).

Summer was quite different, green grass and fellow campers, oh, and heat! The facilities, as others have noted, are somewhat dated, but they are fit for purpose and more to the point fit the entire feel of Manoir De Senlecques.

The site is easily reached from main roads to and from Calais and Boulogne sur Mer. The countryside round about is worth exploring.

Do read the directions to the campsite on their website, they are correct!

Sheltered campsite only about half an hour from Calais. Charged 15euros per night inc electricity which we initially thought was cheap but ended up being the most we paid during the whole week, suppose thats because it was so close to Calais. Friendly owner,Gabby, speaks a little english. Showers/wc's could do with updating but alright for one night.

We stayed here on New Years Eve 2005 for a couple of days prior to travelling on down to Spain.

Facilities are clean but basic. However, the owner is extremely friendly and very helpful

Good site for Channel Tunnel Stopovers

We had planned to stay for one night only but after such a nice reception decided to stay the whole three days. Gabi and Mimi were very good hosts.
The facilities are looking a bit tired but, none the less, are more than adequate. We would recommend the site to anyone going to the Boulogne area.

A nice quiet little site loving attended by Gabi the owner, who is a very nice chap; the site is perhaps a little in need of a refurbishment but that said some of its charm would be lost if was.

Its just outside Boulogne Sur Mer in lovely countryside and is ideal for a stop over when travelling from the channel ports, the toilet block is clean albeit tatty and hook ups are dotted around the site, its mainly a matter of pitch where you want, there is no shop on the site, but a small Auberge within walking distance serves meals and has a small bar.

I would recommend this site for anyone wanting a quiet couple of days in a rustic setting.

We stopped here as a bed and breakfast on our way home. Just wanted to have a restful evening not put the tent up so stayed B & B. Lovely little campsite, divided into lots of little fields. Little stream running through. Beautiful day when we stayed and campers and caravans nestled into the different little fields. Nicely wooded, very tranquil, basic shower blocks and loos from what we saw.
Couldnt believe we were within 25 minutes of the eurotunel .felt like we were miles out in the country. Little resaurant about half a km down the road .15 minutes pleasant wander along the coountry road. Tiny little villages but the sea is within easy driving distance. Great place to stop either at the beginning or end of your journey.
The owner speaks some english, very pleasant couple. Electric hookups available, no shop on site, take your grub or go hunting for the local shop. Peaceful rural spot
