Very peaceful, only 5 vans allowed which suited us, great for walks on river Nene.
Pubs in the village. And a small shop for bits and bobs etc. Proper village butchers. 1.5 miles from the castle ruins.
Anymore info needed let me know.

A nice little site, easy to find from the A1 (tip, if coming from the south, don't take the first turn signed Wansford, carry on to the roundabout). Go through Nassington, past the Black Horse pub, there is a road to the cricket club on the right, the site is immediately through a gate on the right.
The Nene way is adjacent, but it's better to cross the road a little way up towards the village, then you will soon come to the river and can walk to Yarwell Mill and to Wansford if you like.
Go to Fotheringhay and see the church and the remains of the castle, and to Elton, a lovely village, for walks along the river and canal.
There is a decent Londis store in Nassington, a Waitrose in Oundle, a garage on the A47 heading towards Peterborough.
£15 a night is ok, you don't see the owner much; there are envelopes and a mail box in the information hut for payment. We liked the site and would recommend it.

Good site with flat pitches, each separated by a small hedge.
Information hut in the corner together with elsan disposal and water. Water a bit difficult position to fill a motorhome directly but site owner would have a solution - he’s a great help.
Quiet site with no problems

Just arrived back after spending a great time in Nassington.
Great flat site and fantastic hosts in Maureen and Colin ably assisted by Dave!. Tiny bit of road noise but nothing to worry about
Good facilities for water and waste and an added bonus with TV and electric hook up. All this for £10 a night.
Fabulous for walkers and cyclists alike.
Two pubs (Black Horse and Queens Head) a butchers and open all hours Londis Store.
Both pubs very friendly and serving food. Bigger menu at Queens Head and more expensive but Black Horse food looked good from afar
Added bonus if you are a cricket fan with Nassington CC being two minutes away by foot.
We were made to feel very welcome by this quality cricket club.
Suggest a visit via bike to Oundle and call at The Falcon in Fotheringhay for a bite to eat on the way back! Be sure to spot the Red Kites in the sky.
We're already booked for next weekend!

A very friendly site, situated not far from the A1/A47 junction, easy route into nearby Peterborough and 5 miles from Oundle.
Limited facilities, with fresh water and waste disposal so your own toilet and washing facilities needed.
Electric hook ups for each pitch (A new TV ariel and connections has been installed but as we did not use, we cannot comment on this.
General store and butchers for essential supplies a short walk from the site, as is a local pub that serves a varied menu (sorry cannot comment on that as we did not use it on this visit)
This site would be ideal for you if you like walking, birdwatching or just relaxing.
