We stayed here for two nights and it was very nice. We were meet by a lady who takes care of the site on the weekends she helped us park checked a few things with us as we set up she was very help ful. We put the awning up the next day and she came to help and gave us some clips the secure every thing. Toilets were clean when we got there bit run down but clean till some kids decided to spread waste all of the seats and floor and the husband had clean it. The shower has been replaced and is good clean and hot. Even had a Chinese meal delivered oh yer and the donkeys are lovely but watch out for the donkey sh. We going back 2 weeks time

A nice, quiet campsite.
Separate fields for caravans and tents. Even though it was bank holiday the site was very quiet. The owners were lovely and came over with leaflets about the area. They provided us with something to put the BBQ on.
The facilities are very basic. The toilet block is in the caravan field and is a portable cabin. Only 1 shower and 2 toilets, but this didn't matter because it was so quiet. The block was clean (though the ladies needs a bin) but a bit buggy. Hot water was a bit hit and miss. I think it depended on if someone was in the mens shower.
There is a pot wash area, it had a really low roof, so I would recommend making the shortest person do the washing up. As with the showers the hot water is intermittent.
There was a few swings for the kids to play on. At £12 a night for a 4 man tent it was fine for us.

A small secluded site which was well located for us to see family in the Neath area. The owners are pleasant enough people, however, that is where the good news ends.
The road into the site is very narrow, with a tight turn through 90 degrees at the end. With a 25' caravan this was tight and anything with a twin axle or slightly longer would struggle.
Although facilities advertised were present, there was no water turned on, so we could not use toilets or showers which was disappointing. The nearest fresh water point was outside the owners home, some 300-400 metres from our unit, not a pleasant walk in the freezing rain. This trip had to be made more often due to the lack of showers. There is a chemical toilet disposal point, but this has no water to it, therefore you are unable to wash the waste tank easily and prevent those unpleasant smells.
At £15 a night for a site with no facilities to offer other than an electric hook-up it was over-priced and lacked care and attention

I'm surprised this site has had no reviews yet. I've spent a few holidays in South Wales but I've always been unfortunate to somehow get on the commercial sites which are not for me. This was found by chance and was absolutely perfect for our needs.
The owners were very helpful and pleasant. The site is situated well away from the main road and a stream runs at the bottom (no access though) The fields are big and most have hook up (need a long lead if you don't get near entrance though) The toilet block is very basic so don't expect all the mod cons (one shower / one toilet / one sink). It was clean though but was in need of refurb work - if you want new toilet blocks this is the wrong site. It served our needs and always had warm water. Better than nowt as they say.
Site was very quiet (only one other tent) small play area with 2 swings but plenty of room for the kids to play (we had 2 - didn't get bored).
The lane down to the site is narrow and branches go over the road - ours was a smallish coachbuilt and managed ok but anything big will struggle. There's a shop 15 - 20 minutes walk and a regular bus again near the shop that can take you into Neath then Swansea or wherever. The shop was well stocked and was always a pleasant walk (steep hill though out of site)
Pub nearby, can't remember name but turn left out onto main road couple of miles on the right. Had a lovely meal there and reasonable and friendly.
All in all an excellent site, sadly the owners have site for sale but we will try again and hope there still there.
In conclusion and as already said - if you want a big commercial site with all mod cons - forget this, if you can cope with bare minimum facilities and in return you get a very quiet site / nice owners / nice walks then would highly recommend.
