Views are amazing and site is pleasant and open surrounded by fields and view of the sea.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly visit again - hopefully the new toilet/showers will have been finished as the existing ones leave a lot to be desired, but fortunately we could use the ones in our motorhome. One of the other visitors actually cleaned them when they arrived and there was no loo roll either.
The farmer was actually away when we stayed which could be the reason the facilities were in such a bad state. Sack the cleaner 🤭😆.
Eggs and homemade jams, marmalades and chutneys are available to buy with an honesty box on site.
The £20 per night charge would have been more acceptable if we could have used the toilets/showers.
We didn't actually see the farmer or anyone connected to the site and had to leave our money in the honesty box so hence 'customer service' cannot be scored.

Fantastic to return to South Port O Spittala nd to meet up with Kaye and Ian again, very welcoming hosts.
This is just a wonderful site, well maintained with excellent facilities and the view is absolutely priceless.
Speaking of prices, the site fees are remarkably reasonable. We enjoyed revisiting a lot of Galloway's attractions and, thanks to Kaye, were able to visit the Water Gardens at Leswalt which are well worth a visit.
It's a short walk down to Knockinaam Cove, always a treat and Lots of attractions in the area and some fabulous beaches, Sandhead and Port Logan are lovely a visit to the Mull of Galloway is always worthwhile and the gardens at Glenwham are fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed this return visit and will be back again next year, if our 38 year old caravan and it's nearly 80 year old owners are still up to it.

This is a lovely if exposed site near Port Patrick Some walks nearby but a vehicle is necessary if you want to really enjoy the area Logan Botanics are a must and a trip up the lighthouse at Mull of Galloway is well worth a visit Visitor centre and cafe very good there also
Be prepared for many single track roads
Positives : toilet and hot shower and water tap for each van
Negatives : only one ladies toilet in same cubicle as shower although there were two other toilet cubicles which had never been reopened
In need of upgrading and more frequent general cleaning
No one to greet and make sure you are in correct space
There are 3 wind turbines which could be a noise factor

Fabulous views out to sea, good hard standing with grass to sit on. CL, so basic but good facilities for a few vans.
WELL off the beaten track on quiet roads with passing places, well sometimes!
Very close to Logan House and Botanic Gardens, many interesting places to go round about and good quiet roads for cycling.
Delightful owner and rare breed sheep!
Very reasonable £15 in 2021.

This place is to die for. I booked in for three nights not really knowing where we were going but it looked so special from an online search that I just had to go and join the Caravan Club to go there. It’s so worth it.
Yes the weather was beautiful but my, what a view. It really doesn’t get any better. Every evening we sat watching the sun go down in this idyllic setting. I will definitely return - sooner rather than later.
And to top it all - a lovely owner with a very warm and welcoming personality. First class.

Our 3rd visit here. Location is fantastic with amazing cliff top views across to Ireland. Ian is easy to book with and is very relaxed. Lovely lawned area, shower and toilet available.
Local short walk to beach at Knockinaam
Port Patrick always lovely and super food at Mount Stewart Hotel but dogs not allowed inside. Dogs are allowed at Waterfront but food not as good but still ok.
Nice to visit Port William and Wigtown

Great site. Amazing views from the cliff tops. Great cheap little site. Facilities are clean and good for the price.
Ian the owner is friendly.
Single track road for. 2 miles is not for the faint hearted.
Gem of a site
