We arrived the day the schools went back and we have the site to ourselves. The orchard is lovely and everything is to our satisfaction. Warm welcome. There should be more people on this lovely site but it is very windy today and this may be deterring travellers. Very neat and tidy location with horses in the paddocks.
Very pretty places all around and super walks. Will visit the nearby markets too.
A site to recommend to others visiting the area. Well worth ten out of ten.
Have no kids with us so can't comment on child friendliness but if the kids like horses they are friendly!

This site is superb. The setting in the orchard is tranquil and relaxing. The site is immaculately kept being mown regularly.
There are several electric points to allow a choice of pitch. The toilet is nearly new and is kept very clean.
We were welcomed onto the site and made to feel at home by Karen.
The surrounding area has much to offer, from the traditional Yorkshire market towns of Malton and Kirby Moorside to the seaside resorts of Whitby and Scarborough over the moors of Heartbeat country.
The other units on site while we were there were all repeat visitors and it is easy to understand why. We'll be back as well.

Lovely site set in an orchard next to owners house and B&B (handy if you have non caravanning friends wanting to stay). Very well kept with grass kept very short and the new single wc kept spotlessly clean.
You do need to drive most places but there is a good pub, The Golden Lion, in the nearby village of Great Barugh, which is only 1 mile away along a very quiet country lane, so easy to walk or cycle to. It serves pretty nice meals starting at around £7.
With regards to things to do in the surrounding area you are spoiled for choice. Lots of lovely drives through pretty little villages.Site is situated halfway between Malton & Pickering. Pickering is a lovely little market town with some nice little shops and cafes and a beautiful church St Peter & St Paul with extensive 15th century wall paintings.
Malton is less picturesque but handy for Supermarkets, shops etc. We caught the train from here for a nice day out in Scarborough, it only takes around 25 minutes and it saves the drive as well as the parking problems.
North Yorkshire Moors railway also runs steam trains from Pickering as far as Whitby, although its not cheap at £21 each for a day rover ticket.
We chose to drive to Whitby over the moor via Goathland (better known as Aidensfield from Heartbeat) it is a stunningly pretty village with the usual tearooms and gift shops.
We had very busy days driving all over East and North Yorkshire but it was always great at the end of the day to arrive back to the idyllic setting of Brawby Grange. Oh and finally it was only £55 for the 7 nights.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is very quiet and peaceful. You need to travel by car to get anywhere, although the local pub is a good walk across a field and along a lane. The site is kept beautiful.
Very well spaced out pitches with ample room for caravan, awning and car with lots of space between units. I wish other sites were so generous with space. Karen welcomed us and made us feel very welcome.
We would recommend this site to people who like the countryside, peace and quiet to relax. Within driving distance of York, Scarborough, Whitby and of course Heartbeat country. We hope to visit again.
Although there is no children's play area the site has ample room for children to play safely. Secure site.
The site is a credit to Karen.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June this year and did not want to leave! There is more than enough room to site 5 vans, either in the old orchard or in the paddock next door which has nice views across the fields. As we were the only campers on site, the owners very kindly let us close the gates to the paddock so that our dogs could be safely exercised. We were entertained during the day by a pair of little owls and in the evenings by a beautiful barn owl, hunting for small prey in the next field. Amenities are close by but if it is seclusion you require then this site is well worth a visit.
