We stayed at the site just one night. We arrived at 8 pm. I can not say that the reception is a very welcoming. They said that if we stay just one night than we have to leave before noon time;12:00; following day, even not for 24 hours. The offered us a pitch near the drainage unit which is in the middle of the site. After noticing that there were some pitches available near the lake part, we asked to change our pitch and they accepted. At this part of the site there are no trees so no shadow but this was not a problem for us since we were planning to leave the early in the morning.
Although we stayed for a short time I noticed the following points :
- there is a good and clean area for washing your dishes in the sanitary building, we used it.
- toilets are clean but there is a smell problem.
- man and woman toilets are not separated, there are toilet paper and liquid soap.
- hot water at the showers are ok.
There is a swimming pool and a restaurant but we did not use them.
The price (for a motorhome and 2 people) is 24, 5 Euro.
The wifi is not free. You have to pay extra.
Location is so good, the site is very close to the lake and there is a walking path around the lake which is lovely. Also you can reach the town centre in 30 minutes, around 2 km.

We chose to stay at this site because firstly it was an area of France we had never visited and secondly The Tour de France was nearby for two days. However when we arrived at this site we were disappointed and this feeling did not change throughout our stay.
The site has open and part-shaded grass pitches with 6 amp electricity a bar/cafe, open air swimming pool and a basic shop. Next to the site is a lake which you can have a pleasant enough walk around. The Ballon d’Alsace is nearby and worth a visit as is the citadel in Belfort.
To start with the few positives it is very easy to access from the A36 motorway (10 mins), has good wifi and excellent security, not only do you have a barrier card but you have to use the card in a card entry system if you arrive back late in the evening at the main gate. Although we did not use it the new pool looked very nice and bread and croissants were available to order at the bar.
Now to the negatives:
Sanitary Facilities – The smell mentioned by previous reviewers is down to the fact that the Toilet Chemical Disposal Point is right by the front door! Not a very sensible place to site it in our view. Also there are not enough toilets (some being of the squat type) so there was some queuing in the mornings. We use our own facilities for showering so cannot comment on these.
The Site - The site had the general feeling of being poorly maintained and scruffy, our pitch was rutted and uneven and the grass had not been cut for a while. The pitches in general looked neglected and covered with weeds and long grass and we felt sorry for people trying to pitch tents and staying in the mobile homes. Pitches also vary greatly in size and delimitation between them is very unclear; even with a map it took us a while to work out exactly where our pitch was and we were not alone and it is not helped by the fact that the pitch number markers are on the ground.
Security – The following is not the fault of the site and explains why the security here is very good. Nearly every evening youth’s gathered outside the supermarket opposite the site main entrance riding their motorbike/scooters up and down the road and letting off what we assume were firecrackers.
In summary as stated previously we were very disappointed with this site. With a bit of effort this site could be greatly improved instead of a tired one it is now. However it would make a suitable night halt but personally we would not return.

A good sized site within walking distance of the centre of Belfort. It's next to a lake which has a pleasant walk around. We were offered a small pitch that was difficult to get our van into (& it's only a VW T5!) but we were also told that if we found a better pitch to help ourselves & just let them know - so we did. Pitch sizes to vary, as does the amount of hedges, trees around each one. A big modern toilet/shower block, which as previous people have mentioned did seem to have a bit of a whiff around it at times.
The blow up pool has been replaced this year with a very nice outdoor one with space to relax around it - although it wasn't warm enough to swim (for us!).
There is a supermarket about 25min walk or 10min bike ride away. Belfort is v interesting place & loved fact that you could walk in. A site we would visit again.

We were quite disappointed when we first arrived at this site - a trip to the loo block had me holding my nose and persuading my husband to let me use the caravan loo - but things improved and generally speaking it was ok.
The blow-up pool was fun and the location pretty good - in a pleasant suburb of Belfort where you could fairly easily walk into the city itself or very easily around the 'etang' on a purpose-built fitness path.
We were also disappointed not to be able to partake in water sports, despite having checked out the possibility on the internet previously. But the sailing club was all locked up and lonely, weekdays and weekend.
Belfort itself quite interesting, especially the citadel, but I'm not sure that you could spend more than a couple of days here without something else to do!

We camped with our 2 children 9 and 11yrs. We loved the pool, it was solid and clean.
Fresh bread and croissant available every morning by order, small shop.
2 evenings a speciality food vendor came selling Tarte flet and piella at good price and generous servings. A regular feature. Other evenings/ afternoon local fruit and vege / speciality sausisans /local wine/cheese vendors came.
The toilet block is clean, free hot water in the showers. Great washing up area and laundry room.
2 mornings a week there is free canoeing with an instructor on the etang, I went with the children in the rain and it was still great.
Free archery for anyone interested on site one evening and climbing, again with tuition - in French but my kids managed. It was supposed to be up the Miot - the medieval tower, but it was slippery due to rain, so not to be put off the venue was changed to a fantastic climbing wall at the College Gymnasium.
Free guide tour of the history of town of Belfort - interesting but long, easy walking from campsite. Good shopping. Good TI in town. Cinema. Art Gallery. Good walk along Historic wall.
The canoe club also offers sailing with tuition bike hire at good prices.
Monsieur and all staff were great and very helpful.
Flat pitch, flexible choice of pitch, some bigger than others.
Busy on some evenings with one night stop overs, for going into Germany and Suisse but still quiet at night.
Camp site well sign posted in all parts of the town.
We stayed for 10 nights, plenty going on, on site, excellent point from which to explore surroundings - Balon de Alsace and Maservaux worth a visit. Good cycle paths and route around the Etang.
Would gladly go again. Not very well advertise in the brochure - ie the free canoeing, climbing and archery were omitted.

Visited as part of our summer holiday with two kids (10 & 12). Site is just to the east of the town in a residential area next to a lake.
Site small reception area with bar and limited take away. Next to it is a small pool area which is more like a large paddling pool.
One central wash block which was kept clean.
Pitch was fine, plenty of grass. However, although everything worked and the staff were friendly the site has the feel of not been kept in top condition.
It was a great base for a few days, a chance to visit the citadel and visit some of the ballons.
