We visited this site during the week before Bank Holiday and we were almost on our own.
It's a small site at the moment but is expanding into something more adventurous - there's already a (small) fishing lake and apparently plans to include a kiddie's play area, this will no doubt bump the fees up!
At the moment a small portacabin shower/toilet block is all the facility on offer (this was kept clean and was fine for us but I think it will be overrun when the site is full) however there are plans to build a new block so I would imagine by next season the whole thing will look completely different
Good access to Skeggy and other attractions but, as the site is on the A158, it suffers a bit from traffic noise- fine at it's current price level but when the fees go up.
Didn't try the food at the Gunby but it seemed well frequented and the pub itself was quiet

Management response: Please note this site no longer has touring facilities and no longer takes tents or caravans. It now has static caravans for sale only |

Gutted! Couldn't get through on the phone to book a pitch for the end of this month so sent the mother in law down to the King's Head to see what was going on. The present owners/leeseholders were in the process of moving out! It was a really good reasonable little site. Lets hope that new owners are found soon and the caravan/campsite is up and running again soon. Very sorry to hear that the people from last year have gone though.

Came here to stay a long weekend and ended up staying 8 nights, showers & toilets very basic but clean. The owners Kash & Sean and their family made everyone very welcome, as did the site manager John. The beer is good and the meals they do are second to none, with a very good menu, If you like steak try the 26 ounce T bone and the Sunday carvery is just like home cooking and as much as you can eat. A lot of the people we met were returning stayers, there is also a village 2 miles down the road to skeg with a good selection of shops including a butcher and fishmonger. Overall my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning to stay again.

Very nice little pub site. Amenities a little basic but clean never the less. Particularly enjoyed the beer garden play park (well kids did). Booked to go again this bank holiday when it will be a bit busier. Was very quiet when we visited, but made welcome. Very reasonable.
