 Everything Stuart 988 says is spot-on! This is a remarkable find - and at 9. 70 Euros a night fantastic value. The facilities are excellent - especially considering they are in what is in fact a public park. What state would such facilities be in in UK we wondered.
The obvious place to visit from here is of course Oradour-sur-glane. It is not a fun day out, but one of those things all of us should do so that the horrors of what man can do to man are not forgotten.

This is a lovely little site, situated within an easy drive of the memorial town of Oradour Sur Glane. The entrance can be easily missed as it is just before the gites and community space as you first enter the site. The outlook is beautiful, with a lake and well tended park. There is a playground for the little ones and sports pitches nearby for football etc. On our visit, we were one of only two caravans on the site. The village is a fairly short walk away and has a bakery and a small shop. The warden called in the morning and was very friendly. The shower and toilet facilities were immaculate and we could not believe what a bargain this place was. Electricity and Water was shared between two pitches, so easy servicing. The pitches were flat and separated by hedges, so it was quite private and setting up was easy. It was so peaceful and relaxing, what a find!
