 Had a wonderful last minute holiday in the Bourganeuf area staying at a Gite, we decided to extend our holiday and found this site on our drive to the wonderful lake nearby. We opted to stay in the Yurt, never having been in one previously. What a wonderful experience! Even though we had not pre booked, everything was lovely and clean, the decoration certainly made you feel like you were in an exotic land. The weather was gorgeous so we were able to use both the hot tub and the swimming pool and was lovely to be able to eat our meals in the park. The toilets had just been updated and were immaculate. The site was in beautiful countryside, but only 15 mins drive from the gorgeous Bourganeuf. The owners were so very welcoming and left us a gorgeous gift of goodies. Will definitely be back next year. Thank you for such a wonderful experience

You can expect a really warm welcome from the new owners, the toilets are clean and there is much updating of this previously sad and neglected site. A new cafe is opening shortly which will be great to get breakfast hot drinks and snacks. Really worth a visit

I hate to say this but we were very disappointed with this site. After reading the web page we had great expectations of this quiet little site with the pool and other outdoor facilities.
On arrival we found instead of the two rental caravans there were two abandoned old caravans covered in green algae. The outside furniture and hammock advertised as ‘available for the campers use’ was also dirty and green. The Barbeque that was ‘available for rent’ was in the centre of the field rusting away and unusable.
The toilets were clean but old and we never got to see the pool as you had to ask for the dogs to be put away before you could enter the area. When I spoke to the owner about this she said that the pool could not be used as it had not been cleaned.
We booked in for four nights but only stayed one.
The site had obviously been all the things that were advertised on their web site but for whatever reason it is somewhat tired and run down.
In its favour I must add that the toilets and showers although past their best were clean and there was plenty of hot water. The price per night was also cheap.
It is situated in a beautiful area and is quiet. Although It may be alright as an overnight stop, I would not recommend it for a long period or for children.

We spent a night here on the way to the Dordogne.
This is a peaceful, small and friendly site, but you do need to be prepared to drive to places if you want to walk, cycle or eat out. Although ukcampsite lists food and drink available, this information is out of date. The bar in the nearest village has closed. The nearest supermarket and shops were about 10k away. There was no daily bread delivery van that we were aware of.
The toilet and shower facilities were fine.
