Well situated site on the banks of the Seine.
Good base for Fontainbleau City and forest.
St Mammes is a small village a short walk away with a couple of bars and a good bakery.

First camping holiday abroad
We spent 10 days at Courtilles du lido. Lovely big pitches and you can choose your own which is great we had a lovely spot much bigger than UK pitches the children could really spread out their bikes and scooters.
Very good price too €255 for 10 days no electric 2 adults and 3 children. We liked you had a key card for entry so it felt secure as in not any Tom dick or harry can drive round the site. Children rode bikes and scooters around safely.
Shower and toilets adequate, found the washing up facilities odd being in the same building as the showers, the water outlets for the hot water to wash up were on blending valves so only warm. We took to fulling our washing up bowl from the showers. Basic but ok.
Reception open 8am-midnight lovely halpful staff, free tennis court (kids loved it) and table tennis. Swimming pool a saviour in plus 30 temp, children could spend hours here. There's a good park and a big bouncy castle slide all free. We paid €2 each to play crazy golf.
The reception sells drinks and icecream plus some food we had pizza on our last night and it was lovely. Free WiFi on site can get busy but ok.
Ideal location to explore we rode the 6 miles or so on our bikes to Fontainbleu, the train station is just a 10 min walk and we purchased Paris Visite passes which gave us unlimited use of train, metro and buses fantastic for exploring Paris which we did over 3 days.
1hr drive to Disney (over rated) children much prefered exploring Paris.
Lovely town next door Moret sur Loing, with an Lidl just over the bridge. We also ventured to Provins a beautiful medievil town about an hrs drive.
If we visited the Paris area again we would definitely return here, it's our sort of camping just enough to do without it being to big. Lovely campsite and cheap give it try.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay here a few weeks ago.
Excellent location for Fontainbleau. We were cycling and the routes were OK. Many of the suggested forest routes were too sandy, and the main forest roads are quite busy.
Moret is a must visit - quaint and a chance to have a galette and cider at the excellent La Gavotte restaurant.
Fontainbleau is an hour away from Versailles - and on the main SNCF line to Paris so really good location.
We didn't quite get the 'boulders' - coming from the Pennines they seemed quaint!
The pool was great - especially in the unseasonably hot temperatures.
Wash block reasonable - excellent value.
Pitches hard and spacious - pick your own.

We chose to stay here for 10 days as I liked the reviews given, the campsite was also in a great spot for the local train station and the facilities sounded good also the price was fantastic 255 euros for 10 nights we have a solar panel set up so didn't need electricity but even with it the cost would've been 280 euros. And that was for 2 adults and 3 children.
I booked online with out any bother. When we arrived we were told to pick our pitch, all of which are very spacious, there is a lot of shade but the temperatures were so high 30 degrees c at times we were glad of the shade.
There is a small shower/toilet block, always clean and with toilet roll provided. There's areas to wash up and an ice machine inside (2 euros a go) and also a small washing machine and dryer room (4 euros), never had to wait to use the facilities. Wi-Fi coverage is advertised and free but it didn't work for me, but seemed to for other people.
The campsite has a small reception with very friendly staff, no shop but had a few things like butter, bottles of pop for sale and you can freeze your ice packs there if needed you can also bread daily to pick up the following morning, you can buy alcohol and there's a lovely seating area outside with a fountain.
You can also get chips and pizza, which we took advantage of on the first night, the food was actually really nice, just basic, but perfect after a long drive.
The campsite is great for kids and feels very safe, they have 2 parks, a tennis court (free use of rackets and balls) table tennis (free use of paddles etc) a swimming pool which does feel a bit crowded when busy but we had plenty of times when it was nearly empty, it is heated but it is a bit chilly when you first get in but it's a nice relief from the heat and the kids loved it.
There is also a small mini golf course (2 euros). The campsite feels friendly and even when busy doesn't ever feel crowded which we loved. It's the perfect spot for going to fontain bleu which is a beautiful town to explore, paris is a 40 minute train ride away and Disney about an hour by car. There is a Carrefour supermarket about 5 minutes away by car in the near by town. You do have to use your car to get to the nearby town but we didn't mind.
We loved it that much that we are planning anthor holiday next year and we are going to stay here again.

I had booked this site as a one night stopover on our way south and on our return trip for a 3 nights stay as we wanted to visit Fontainebleau. Booking was easily done over the internet with no deposit and pay on departure.
Both times we arrived late in the evening, getting round Paris is a nightmare! We found the site easily enough. But it is a little challenging to get to as the signs for the site took us down some very narrow roads where we had to weave around the parked cars before going round a sharp bend into a little tunnel. Not easy for our son-in-law with a 26ft caravan when he took a wrong turning in the town!
The site is set in woodland and both times we were told we could choose our pitch within the area they had open. It seemed they were only using part of the campsite while we were there and when we had a walk around some areas were looking a bit run down.
The pitches varied in size depending upon where the trees were. We found ourselves a really pleasant spot where we could have the caravans facing each other so the children could play between them.
Some of the hookups are of the French type and need the adapter. Water points are plentiful and dotted around.
The sanitation facilities were clean and, as is the norm in France, communal, but the toilets, accessed through the good pot wash area, were separate. The showers were of the push button type and were tepid at best and often cold if more than one at a time was in use. There was also a laundry area.
The pool appeared to be adequate but as the weather wasn't the best during our stay we didn't use it.
The children's play park was very old fashioned but safe and clean.
The children enjoyed their time at this site as they were able to run around and play freely. In fact, on our last day, the whole family had fun with our grand-daughters water bombs in the pouring rain.
The bar area was small and quaint and our family of 12 filled it on our last night. It also doubles up as the reception area.
There is no shop on site.
The owners spoke limited English but were friendly and helpful, managing to advise us of a nice place to eat in the next village.
The main negative to the site, which is beyond their control, is the swarms ants and the mosquitos in the evening, which left us all with some nasty bites, despite using repellant.
It is a quaint little site that is best used as we used it, for short stop-overs.

We loved this site, we used it at the end of a 3 week break on the way home and as a base for Disney. No deposit needed when we booked and we paid for our stay on the way home. We were told to just choose a pitch, there were loads of choice as the site was quite quiet. The pitches were all in huge woodland areas and the girls loved running through the trees choosing the best area. I do agree that they were a little too shaded, it was dry weather for most of the time whilst we were there but when it did cloud over in the evenings the areas seemed dark.
There is a small bar area with seating outside which no one seemed to use whilst we were there, a really small pool area, a mini golf and a large play area with boule courts. The site was flat fantastic for the girls to cycle and very safe. The facilities including the washrooms were immaculate.
The site is at the edge of a small village, great for cycling around, a short walk to the train station where you can get a train to Paris or near by Fontenbleu, we drove which took 15 mins well worth a visit and also nearby medieval village with river that you could cycle to. Disney was around 1 hr away and not the easiest journey from the site.
The only downside for us was that there was not a cafe or restaurant within walking distance of the site, they do pizzas at the site for apprx. 10 euros but they looked like frozen pizzas bought in a supermarket and in my opinion were really over priced.
We would really recommend this site with lots to do in the area and a quiet retreat.

Booked to stay here for 4 nights at the start of a 6 week trip to France. We chose it for its proximity to a main road and to use as a base to see Fontenbleu.
I emailed the site and asked for the best route for a large unit and they helped out, but I still ended up following the site signs and found myself going through the town and it is difficult in places. The signs are really for cars only, as the site has many chalets. My advice is to print off the map from their website and follow my instructions.
Leave the N6 (Fontenbleu to Sens road) at the Venaux Les Sablons exit. Go straight down Avenue de Fontenbleu. Ignore the Lido site signs to turn left and carry straight on. At the roundabout go straight across onto Rue de Pierre Morin towards the large viaduct and towards the river. The Rue de Viaduct runs parallel to the river and is nice and wide. This route avoids the town and any tight spots.
Fast and efficient reception - just chose the spot you want. Most are very well shaded, a bit too much for us. Very larger pitches, reasonably wide, but very deep. Lots of trees in the van area, which could be tricky for some without a mover. There is a small but adequate pool.
Oldish, but very clean toilet block. Nice small bar area with a takeaway service.
Overall a very pleasant site. BUT - it rained for 36 hours non stop. We got so fed up we moved to the Loire valley, where the weather was kinder. This is no reflection on the site, but just unlucky for us.
Overall a very pleasant site and we had no complaints.

We stayed at this site for 4 nights near the end of August. The prime reason being to visit Disneyland. On arrival we were allowed to walk around and choose our own pitch. The pitches were large and secluded and there were plenty to choose from. ** Most of the pitches need european adaptor**
The weather was fabulous when we visited so this always makes for a more positive impression but this site suited our needs perfectly. It is about an hour from disney and on the outskirts of a pretty village. There are 2 supermarkets less than 5 minutes away by car and there is a bar and small restaurant on site.(we didn't use it)
The toilet block is partly unisex but this was fine and although has obviously been there for a few years it is clean and well maintained.
The pool is quite small but perfectly adequate especially if you're using this site as a base for Fontainbleu,Disney and Paris. However it doesn't seem to be heated and the kids complained that it was really cold although this didn't stop them! They also enjoyed the playground, table tennis(no charge) and crazy golf.(2Euro)
If you're looking for somewhere that will provide for all your needs and entertainment then this isn't for you! If on the otherhand you want a nice site in a pleasant and convenient location for a few nights then this is ideal. One of the best parts was the price-we are a family of 7 and usually have to pay between £60-£70 per night at most sites-here we paid about 35Euros. We also left late at night to head up to the Channel Tunnel and had expected to pay for an extra night but weren't charged!

Travelling down from Calais, we used this site as a first stop-over, as we continued South. Paris traffic is mind-jangling, but we braved the Paris ring-road and somehow found ourselves at the other side close to Fontainbleu. We found the camp-site tricky to locate with a railway line blocking most roads.
A kind Frenchman went out of his way to lead the way.
We were in low season, so there was an air of emptiness. However the town was in walking distance and all facilities were in good working order. The pool was cold but on a hot day this can be very refreshing. Fontainbleu is not too far away.
The owners were very helpful and relaxed. We were anxious to move onwards, otherwise we could have stayed longer.
