 We had a fantastic time staying here
Very friendly and helpful owners. They gave us a gratis night in a pre erected on our last night so we could pack our tent up before the rain came.
It is definitely a site for families with young children.
Simple play equipment and activities - playing in streams, running about with sticks, berry picking and campfires etc
The site was intimate enough for us to allow our son to roam about and to remain in earshot - mind you he is quite loud.
There is a simple play area next to the bar/restaurant for relaxing in the evening.
Swimming pool could be cold, and not much shallow water for non swimmers.
The site is very shaded and could be quite cool/chilly until after 9. 30, would be a boon in July/Aug
Simple shower block with baby bath and changing mat.
The site is Dutch-run and we were pretty much the only non-Dutch family there. Not much use for improving your French. We were there into September when schools go back and it was full of Pre-School children - great if you have littlies, but a nightmare otherwise. Apparently early August was packed and there didn't seem much space if all the pitches were full. September was very quiet.
Pre erected tents via 'Green Camping' a bargain at end of season.
Local area very quiet and non touristy lots of places to eat in nearby Maurs.
Lots of quiet, but surfaced, farm roads - we could do lovely walks with child in buggy and not encounter traffic. Would be great for energetic cyclists - hilly, bit like Devon.
We are planning to return.
