This is a large wooded campsite with grass pitches of varying shapes and sizes depending on the terrain. There are no visible demarcations (hedges) between pitches but there are hundreds of trees.
A lot of pitches are described as being Great Comfort pitches with water and drainage as well as electricity. Be aware this is not the same as in Britain and doesn’t necessarily mean the water and drainage will be on your pitch. It may be on an adjacent pitch and we had to search for a pitch where the drainage was below the level of our caravan in order for the waste water to drain away.
There are four sanitary blocks which are kept very clean. We visited in early May when the site was not very busy but the blocks were still cleaned at least 3 times a day. The site boasts two pools and a snack bar plus a basket ball court, 3 table tennis tables and table football.
There are a lot of chalets for hire and a supermarket next to the site within easy walking distance. All the staff we encountered which included groundsmen and cleaners were friendly, helpful and cheerful.

This is a large site just on the outskirts of the town, well sign posted, but sadly they pack the campers and caravans in too tight compared to other sites it was in my opinion a safety issue, They give you a map and you will need it if your on the far side. Very accommodating staff who spoke excellent English. The toilets/showers were very clean but the showers were weak but functional and the lighting in the showers was poor but spacious cubicles.
We used the restaurant but get down there at 6pm to book a table otherwise you won't get one its a popular place and good food the steak is excellent. But they could do with more waitresses as it gets busy I gave up waiting for my bill even though I asked all of the staff for it and paid at the bar in the end, which was again busy. They need to address this area otherwise its good.
The pitches are very small and the ground is rock hard your need Rock pegs and a hammer, we bent a couple of the rock pegs its that hard. Lots of shade though from the tall trees.
Good area for the kids to play and it seemed a great place to meet other children from other countries table tennis seemed very popular so bring your bats and balls, the swimming pool was very nice but can get busy its a big site.
Town is a short walk to some great shops and restaurants catering for everyone. Super markets are very close too.
I would definitely not return as it was in my opinion over priced for what it is. But don't let me put you off its a great place but not for me.

We were a group of 21 people and we stayed in five adjacent bungalows. We enjoyed it very much! We were able to cook together and there was an area were we could all eat together. W
e didn't have transportation, but it was so easy to get to Begur and the beaches on foot. There is a big supermarket right at the camping entrance.
The camping had two goats, a donkey, and hens with little chicks
The manager was really nice and helpful. He makes his own wine! He made us feel at home.
Begur Camping is a perfect place for slowing down and relaxing.

This is an excellent site, with very friendly owners and all the facilities you need, including nice pool (which can get busy at times), immaculate toilets/showers (cleaned 24/7 by about 9 cleaners) and all essential ball court and shop selling fresh bread, etc. There is also a roof top restaurant selling well priced local food, great for a night off cooking.
The beach is within walking distance which is a must as parking nearby very busy. You can walk aroung the coastal path to the next resort and a short drive (up steep hill) into Begur itself which is lovely, though absolutely manic on market day. There is also horse riding in the pine forests near Begur and great tapas in Begur itself.
The pitches are small(we could barely fit our tent on) and rock hard so take good pegs and a mallet, we thought we'd never get them in. Some are well shaded and there seem to be lots of people returning year after year. Mainly Dutch visitors, although took our daughter a few days to realise they weren't speaking English!
Would definitely highly recommend and hope to return.
