Bar not open, no entertainment for us till the last night when the bar was open
Very little choice only one meal choice per night and not open in the day for a drink and a snack
Staff ok and the place was clean and tidy
Site is remote so needs more going on as at a loose end most of the time

We spent 8 days in low season and the site was very quite with a mix of English French and Dutch.
Before we went we were aware that because of low season the shop restaurant and bar would not be open. We didn't mind this and used local restaurants for lunch and had caravan sandwiches or salad for evening meal.
The toilet blocks and shower were well maintained and regularly cleaned. The site roads are tarmac with some illumination.
Plenty of walks nearby not all suitable for electric mobility scooter or wheelchair. The recycle area is at the car park entrance to the site.
There is a one way system for vehicles going in and out, access and exit is by way of a coded barrier it was good to note that the code access was on both the right and left catering for the both right and left hand drive.
There are several supermarkets nearby, Letto, Super U, Carrefour and the one we preferred on the road leading to Pleuven, Leclerc.
There are excellent bakers and butchers in Fouesnant the parking in Fouesnant is mainly blue zone parking allowing one and half hours parking. Badges can be bought at Leclerc (cheaper than buying on Ebay in UK) English is spoken and the reception was very helpful.
Service stations are at the Supermarkets, but not Super U. I preferred to use the service station on the right hand side of the road heading to Leclerc. They accepted cash or card. The area is beautiful and very handy for visiting Benodet or Concarneau.
This site has the obvious pool facilities with a tall slide and I suspect would be very busy in high season.
The access road was ok for a caravan stick to the recommended route some roads are single track.
There are many good flat cycling areas.
In all we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to go again

The site is well laid out with a mix of static and touring units. All pitches have 10A hookup using either French domestic plugs or UK style 16A plugs. The site can provide converters if needed.
The site staff were all friendly and English is spoken if your French isn't great. Entertainment is laid on by the site most evenings. The pool and slides were fantastic. The restaurant a bit expensive for the quality, but acceptable if you can't be bothered to cook.
The evening entertainment is a mix from magicians to singers, and everything we saw was bilingual. A kids club runs every morning for under 10's. All this is included in the price. It's not up to Haven standards but in proportion to the site's size.
Toilet and shower facilities were modern and regularly cleaned.
Bikes are a must in my opinion for this site. There are miles of flat cycle route straight from the site all suitable for children as they are mostly off road, or on really quiet lanes and access to the many beautiful sandy beaches (some of which aren't accessible by car so are really quiet even on the hottest days) is really easy using them. Bikes can also be hired from the site for around 7euros.
The site advertises free wifi, but this is limited to 100mb per day, and can only be picked up in the bar/restaurant area, and with wifi hotspots seeming to be quite rare in France, if your internet hungry you'll need a good amount of mobile data on your phone.
The site was frequented by mainly French, English, and Dutch families and our 6 year old made friends with other children easily despite not understanding a word her friends said!
The locality provides many towns to visit with local markets most days. There are lots of local attractions too, most of which cater for English speaking visitors, and no visit to this site should end without a visit to the local cider farm. The site organise a cycle ride to here once a week.
If I had to find anything bad about this site, it would be that the pitches are not quite big enough for twin axle vans to manoeuvre unless you have a motor mover (or 10 willing campers to help push you – thank you to all that helped us)
Would we return? Yes. We stayed for 11 nights and only saw a fraction of what the area has to offer, and with the friendly staff and visitors it made for a fantastic holiday.

We visited this site for 11 nights in august 2007 and apart from one day the weather was brilliant compared to what we were experiencing at home,so the peaceful laid back surroundings made for an excellent first trip to France for us and the three kids. This site is tucked away close to the coast (the fantastically sandy beach was a 10 min bike ride from the bottom of the campsite, but also close enough to the town of fousenant (2.5miles) so you didn't feel isolated.
This site appears to be very popular with French families but we always felt welcome, the reception are helpful and to the point,a useful shop for the basics, great water park for all ages it shames many larger sites but if you expect lifeguarding this did not appear to be the case. Our pitch was in an enclosed paddock with three other units which were mainly other Brits we thought it might be a squeeze for our twin axle but after a little manoeuvre the van awning and car all fitted on the pitch with ease
Kids loved the play areas, showers were clean maybe a little updating wouldn't go amiss but perfectly adequate football volleyball badminton table tennis kids disco all went to make for a great stay. Visit benodet concarneu quimper beg meil if you want an introduction to the French way of life try this small but well formed site
We will return our kids loved it the more expensive crossing from Plymouth was worth it only 74 miles from roscoff to this site so an over night stop may not be necessary no toll roads either, just take it steady around the fouesnant area as you could well miss this little gem

We enjoyed our holiday so much last year that, for the first time ever, we revisited a site. We weren't disappointed, although the weather for us too was mixed. Ask for a plot between the pool and football pitch and use the newer, larger showering facilities towards the bottom of the site.
Plenty to do and see in the area and all easily accessible by bike. Don't miss out on the Odet Parc de Loisirs near Quimper for an unforgettable Heath Robinsonesque experience!

Booked for a week but only stayed 3 nights due to the very windy conditions and very wet weather.
The pool area is lovely but you need good weather to enjoy this site. The facilities were clean enough but you have to walk past the bar to get to them and the showers were too small when assisting young children.
It's mainly catering for statics and the touring areas are tucked away to the side. The pitches are large enough and sheltered by hedges but if the weather isn't good it's hard to enjoy this site.
The bar does a takeaway and the shop is fine. The children's playpark was good too.
The local beaches are good for rock pooling but the area didn't have that authentic french feeling and felt more like an out of season seaside town (we had just stayed at the Loire valley for a week which was beautiful and warm!).
Perhaps better later in the season!

We visited this site with our two sons (aged 8 and 9) for two weeks in July/August. This was our first trip abroad with our own tent - we previously went with Keycamp and have stayed on several other sites in Brittany. The site was much fuller when we left at the beginning of August but never seemed overcrowded. There was a good mix of French and English families with a smattering of other nationalities.
The pitches are large and arranged in groups of four with high hedges separating the groups so you could have some privacy. Ours was sunny but there were a couple of tress that provided shade when necessary. The owners seem to allocate them according to nationality, so our four was made up of British tents and caravans.
The toilet and shower blocks were always clean and there was adequate provision - I never had to wait. I tended to use the block towards the bottom of the site as it was newer and the showers were a bit more roomy. There is also a good hairdryer and everything is free. There are three sizes of washing machine and again there was no wait to use one. I used the largest and it is the first time that I've washed clothes on a campsite and they've come out cleaner than at home! The drier was also very efficient. I think the block also had a sauna but I didn't use it so can't comment.
The site is extremely friendly and was pretty quiet after 11 o'clock, although our pitch was next to the pool, sports and entertainment areas so was noisier than some. This was compensated for by our children having direct access (through a hole in the hedge!) to the excellent facilities - football and volleyball pitches, small tennis court, excellent pool complex with slides, table tennis, playground, take-away with a different dish every evening and small entertainment area. They were slightly disappointed with the 'BMX track' as this turned out to be a path round the football field with a couple of dirt mounds. They still used it though. The entertainment is low-key and varies from bingo to a disco and musical entertainment. There is also a children's club but this was French speaking so we didn't use it.
There is a small shop which was handy for bread, croissants and milk. The reception also hires out electricity cables and adapters, freezer blocks, fridges and steri-strips in our case! There are several supermarkets a short drive away. There is also an excellent fresh fish shop just the other side of Fouesnant and Decathlon in Quimper has an excellent stock of sports and camping equipment as usual (from socks to kayaks!).
We cycled most places as there is good access to a network of tracks which take you to many of the excellent beaches. Beg Meil, Mousterlin and Cap Coz are less than a 20 minute bike ride away and have several good places to eat. The children also enjoyed indoor karting in Quimper (expensive but good for a treat), the boat trip from Beg Meil to Concarneau and kayaking up the Odet river from Benodet to Quimper.
I would thoroughly recommend this site if you're looking for something smallish but with all the facilities of a larger site.
