Facilities tired and pub half finished- toilets poor and conservatory had buckets in it collecting water when it rained!
Needs a major make over and food non existent. Lovely village and a shop a mile away- locals seem ok
Not ideal for our children due to road, uneven carpark and stream and car park. Lincolnshire is a lovely but this site is not the best and feels like the owners don't really want campers.
No shower block or any facilities apart from a pub.
Shame I cant report more positively.

Found the owners very helpful and informative. For most of our stay we were the only unit there but a couple of others stayed for the odd night.
Plenty of space, relatively private and reasonably well kept site with electric hook ups. Could be even more space if hedges were trimmed well back. Would not be too good for small children as a deep ditch to one side of the site so care would be needed.
The toilets were extremely clean with clean towels each day and appeared to have been recently renovated. I believe these were also used by the public in the inn but did not cause any inconvenience and the toilets were available 24 hours per day.
Some food available in the pub but very basic, as admitted by the landlady who directed us to the next village- Waddingham and the marquis of Granby - (approximately 20 minutes comfortable walk) where we enjoyed a fabulous steak night (Thursdays) where with 2 steak meals a free bottle of wine was included.
Good selection of meals and pleasant surroundings. Newspapers and basic groceries also available in Waddingham.
The atmosphere at the pub on site was very friendly and comfortable and served real ale but as neither my husband nor I are real ale drinkers could not comment on the beers available.
If the car park was anything to go by then I would say they must be good as it was very full at the weekends but, again, no trouble and certainly we were not disturbed at all.
We will most certainly consider staying at this site again when we need to be in the area.

Visited this site while carrying out a recce for site close to son and daughter-in-law. The Royal Oak sits on the north side of the small village of Snitterby and is with easy reach of Scnthorpe, Brigg and the Humber Bridge. Flat grassed pitches with EHU surrounded by trees and thick bushes but open on one side to the pub’s gravel car park. An annex adjoining the main building housed the toilets and showers but they were also next to the car park and presumably also open to the general public. The toilets and showers were clean but ‘tired’ they had seen better days. While it was quiet during our brief visit and the campers we spoke with were happy with their stay I would be concerned about the amount of noise that might be generated on a Friday or Saturday night. I would also be concerned about the security of my unit in such a very public place. The Royal Oak itself has had a recent change in ownership and sells a selection of real ales.
