 A charming campsite in an attractive setting. The pitches were ample in size although we needed the full length of our electric cable to reach the electric point. The owner, who seemed to carry out all the jobs on the campsite, was very friendly. However be warned, he does not take cards. The site is a good mile to the nearest town but there was little worth seeing. The nearby lake was worth a trip and there were some good walks.

We came across this site by chance, towards the end of their season so whilst there were several other campers around it was quiet and peaceful. We stayed 3 nights even though we initially intended one night.
Owners are a lovely couple, friendly, helpful and speak very good English. We were offered a choice of pitches, all large sizes with ehu and water points throughout. The site doesn't appear very big, mainly due to really good landscaping and that many of the pitches are tiered.
There is a small bar / cafe on site, washing machine for €2 per load, clean and well kept loos and showers, chem disposal and wifi.
The owners kept the whole site beautifully, flowers everywhere, grass is well mown and every facility tidy and clean.
The village of Raon L'Etape is around 15-20 minutes walk, a good selection of shops, bakers etc. There is a municipal swimming pool in town plus several cafes and a Tourist info. Not really a very touristy town but worth a visit none the less.
We paid €17 per night all in (ehu, wifi, shwrs) a lovely site we would not hesitate to recommend.
