We stayed at Les Brunelles last August 2018 for 7 days and then moved to a site in Britany for the next 7 days. This is a fantastic site for children with a large waterpark as its centrepoint. There is large area of bouncy castles and trampolines for the children, there are discos and activities for younger children and also a kind of youthclub in its own building for teenagers. There are also Kids clubs but we go on holiday to spend time with our children so didn't use them. The site is within walking distance of a sandy beach and other towns and beaches can be ridden to using the Vendee Velo route on bicycles that could be hired but we take our own.
Last year it was the 20th aniverary of les Brunelles so they hosted a party night each week with fire eaters and stilt walkers and even some 'Daftpunk' J-bot stilt walkers which was very cool.
I think though the site is more geared up for camper vans and tents. My single axlecaravan is 7. 5m total length and our pitch was 8. 5x8. 5 so you can imagine how difficult getting the caravan into position was. Also once the awning was up there wasn't much room for the car. Some neighbors chose to park in the visitors carpark but we could ift out large car on our pitch. With a motor mover however it was possible site the caravan where we wanted but took a while. The roadways are narrow so we unhitched on the access road and motored the caravan all the way to the pitch. Don't let it put you of though its a fantastc site with fantasitc facilities.
The local Casino supermarket wwas quite expensive and lack lustre but having been to the area before we chose to drive for an extra 10 mins to Talmont St hilare (lidle) or 5 minutes to Jard sur Mer (super U).

This was our second year at this site. We chose our pitch last year whilst on site and the pitches are small compared to some sites in the area, we wanted all service which are smaller than some with no water taps on so bear this in mind when booking and make sure you give them accurate outfit sizes otherwise you may come unstuck! Since last year they have taken over a lot of the touring pitches which makes me think touring may be a thing of the past? They have put large safari tents on the bottom part near the pool complex and built wooden tree house type glamping at the top end of the touring area so around 8 pitches have gone since last year. The pool complex is the big pull for this site, its fantastic. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was lovely and reasonable 61 euros for 4 of us with a litre of wine and drinks/desserts we thought that was great. The site isn't too big but there are more rented accommodation than camping/touring. Site is on the cycle path and the beach across isn't the best, drive to Les Conches for the best beach its about 3km away. We will return at some point but been twice now and I prefer bigger pitches, we felt cramped and only just got the awning in. Big bonus is they accept camping cheques from 23rd August but we had a lot of rain the second week so not sure we will return again so late in August, it went downhill and we had high winds and torrential rain so we didn't use the pool as much as we should.

Stayed here for 7 nights as part of our two week holiday. We absolutely loved this site it's perfect for our two girls aged 9 & 10. The water slides kept them entertained most of the day and the pool complex is fantastic in fact it's one of the best we've seen yet in France!
Pitches all vary in size so make sure you give correct measurements of your unit or you could come unstuck! They gave us exactly what we asked for our pitch was perfect. There's not a lot of all service pitches Theyr dotted around and there's 2 shower blocks both really nice. You don't need an electric adapter for the ehu as it's uk type. The all service pitches have waste and water on them.
We loved the location and nearby is the gorgeous jard sur mer and port. The beach at the site isn't the best and you need to travel 3km to conches which is gorgeous and lifeguard patrolled. The waves are great and we bought surf boards for our girls it's also free parking. If your into cycling then this is the area for you to come! The vendee velo cycle path is directly out of the site and goes through the pine forests and quiet streets, we cycled to Tranche sur mer from the site which was 24 mile round trip and our girls managed it as it's such a good cycle path. We visited the zoo at sables but it wasn't that good. This is an all singing and dancing site so if your not into busy buzzing sites this isn't for you. We enjoyed it that much that we've reserved our pitch again for 2015. We used camping cheques for the 7nights and paid supplements for the children and all service it cost us €25 a nt plus the cheques, it's expensive in peak season and nearly €70 a nt! The bouncy castles and trampolines are all free.
We came the last 2wks of August and we had hot weather for some of the time and cloudy for a few days and cool at night. It was a perfect holiday and we loved the vendee.

Fantastic site. Took our touring van. Shower block was spotless. The one shower block is open air awesome on a warm day night!. Good bread on site 90 cents each. Fantastic pool complex for young and old. Entertainment was good and was mainly french beach under 1km away was good. Surfing beach around 4km away at les conches. ' supermarkets under 5km away. Looking at going again next year!
Close to vendee celo
Bar was reasonable price ice cream 1 euro 50 which is reasonable.
Not many english on site which was a shame for our little girl as no little friends for her. But may be seen as a good point for others.
You have to book sunday to sunday in main season again a bit of a pain.
One down side was I only found 1 water point and only 1 elsan. But the toilets were so clean not a problem really.
Our 4 year old girl loved the pool. Reasonable play areas and 2 good bouncy castles free of charge and 2 trampolines
Looking at booking again for next year!

Just returned from a 3 week break on this site and all can say is that already booked up for next year. Stayed with 3 other families with children from ages 6 - 15. There was plenty to do for all of us - reasonably equipped gym and adults only pool which constantly warm. A bouncy castle and play area for children.
Toilet block always clean and constant hot water for showers. We had to be prepared to queue at busy times but not for long. Pool area always clean, although busy all the time, superb with plenty of slides for children.
Good on site shop and reasonable take away. Entertainment in french with a disco most nights for adults and children.
Only downside was size of pitches. We had been told that we need to book serviced pitch due to the size of our caravans. When arrived there was confusion with pitches and someone else was on our friends pitch. It took 17 of us to get their twin axle on their pitch! Only enough room for caravan and awning, no real sitting room. On positive note they were right next to toilet block, pool, reception area and bar.
Very reasonably priced restaurant at the bottom of the road and a cafe as well. Super market around 10 minutes away.
Would recommend for families with children of all ages.

This is a wonderful site. We stayed 5 nights and really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the site staff who made very effort to make us comfortable. Used Camping Cheques and asked if we could upgrade to a serviced pitch. Expected to pay a supplement but none required. Brilliant pool with slides and water falls. Suitable for all ages. Huge number of comfortable sun beds. Very clean toilet block (be sure to use the new one as the old one is tired), fantastic cycling country and a beach around every corner it seems.
No evidence of the human excrement mentioned in the last review - we're glad we didn't let this put us off. Very good laundry facilities. Some pitches a little small but you get to choose when you arrive. Shop with a range of products, snack bar and restaurant. Hairdresser and beautician. All facilities open in September.
Definitely not for people who want a silent site but everything went quiet by 10.30 p.M.

We stayed here at the beginning of August the site was very busy as you would expect but not overcrowded. It had a good mix of families with young children and teenagers who enjoyed the pool and the very French based evening entertainment which featured karaoke and a foam disco that the kids loved.
The pitch was large and level with electricity close by. There were two toilet / shower blocks one was fairly old without toilet seats, paper or soap (typical French) the other was a new modern block much better but take a loo roll !
The swimming pool was good fun although not supervised 100% of the time it was open. They were more concerned with hygiene in the pool by not letting men wear short type swimming costumes but you could visit the showers and find human excrement everywhere. They were however cleaned on a regular basis.
They have a weekly visit from local market traders selling anything from clothes to wines. In walking distance there is a nice reasonably priced restaurant. The nearest beach is a short evening stroll away past the crazy golf which comes to life in the evening along with the kids bumper car rides. The best beaches are at Les Conches which is about a 20 min. Drive away, well worth it. There is a local Zoo about an hour away where you can get a lot closer to some of the animals than you can in the UK, good fun for all.
This is very much a French site aimed at the French with very few English people staying there. We were next to a Dutch family who were good fun - most of the French keep themselves to themselves. We have stayed at several French sites and this site is one of the better ones so far, - we had a great holiday.
We are looking forward to returning to France again this August staying at another French site, NOT a British owned site as is often tempting !

We stayed here last August for 12 nights, pitches ok but some can be some way to your hook up, luckily we where able to thread ours through a bush into the site next door, they never realised. Plenty going on on the site we found it to be too noisey for us. Entertainment every night (in French) small shop on site, nice pool area and lovely beach just acouple of mins drive at Le Rocher. Loads of cycle routes and pretty Marine at Jard Sur Mer.
The area is lovely the people where friendly the showers and loos were fine it was just not our type of site too much going on we prefer the quieter side. Ideal if you have teenagers as there is a football pitch/ Basketball pitch.
We drove from Le Harve to Les Brunelles in a day and we towed the TT.
