Lovely site. Helen and ian are lovely people. Great price to stay there. They come to see if every thing is ok on the site, show you were every thing is on the site. For a small site it got what you need.

Fab site within easy reach of Stoke. Wonderful views - make sure you place your caravan the right way to see them! You'll need some blocks for your steadies as the site slopes a bit but gives great views. Lovely clean toilet/shower room. Electric hook up and WiFI. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Best to approach from the south - A52/A522 junction which gives easy access on your right hand side through the farm gate to the left of the bungalow. Powys Arms close by very welcoming for the England match.

Been going there for the last five years. It's a good camp site, we go about 3 times a year for a week and weekends if the weather is ok. They have just put a shower on site. I've taken friends there - they love it. They keep going back there. The surrounding area is lovely. You get up in the morning, open your door, the hills are in front of you. It looks lovely if the mist is on the hills. Kids love it. Place to go and walk in the woods and go on a steam train near by the site.

Good little campsite with 'very' basic facilities. The owner was great in explaining how to get there and when we did turn up quite late, we were greeted and helped with local information.

Great views down the Consall valley but electric hookups were probably too near the road for our liking. Toilets were basic and probably should have been cleaner, they kind of felt like a bit of an afterthought, but as we were off in the morning that wasn't too much of a problem

Spent breakfast watching swifts whiziz past and goldfinches chattering while nibbling dandelions which was lovely. Then went off walking down to the Consall nature reserve 10 mins drive away which was well worth a visit!

Would definitely go back!

We decided to try Barden out as we had brought an old Dandy Trailer tent and needed somewhere close to home and where we could use an electric hookup for the first time. I had met the owners, Ian and Helen before and so we went to their site.

The views are outstanding, I could have been 200 miles from home and not only 6?

The site is basic as in there is one portaloo but Ian has plans to increase this as time goes by but if you have your own toilet facilites then there is no problem. The black Lion pub is a few miles away and provides excellent food and drink.

As for Ian and Helen, I can safely say they are probably the nicest people I have ever met. Hospitality is second to none and I came away making friends and will definitely use this site again.

What a lovely site, the surroundings are beautiful and the couple who run the site are so friendly. This site has only just opened and there is a lot of building work going on but this does not detract from the obvious potential this site has.

There is a porta loo on site, drinking water and chemical and waste disposal points but no washing up facilities at the moment. There are also chickens and sheep on site. The sheep are due to have lambs any time now. There are a couple of lovely pubs about a mile away and a garage even closer that sells all the basics.

Should you need a base to explore the Potteries this would be ideal. My only grumble is that the area where the electric hook ups are is very uneven making maneouvering my caravan very difficult, although I am sure this is something they will address in time.

All in all lovely, I have booked another weekend for the end of June.
