As has already been said, this site is an easy walk to the lovely town but is still in a relatively quiet area.
The facilities are clean and modern and using the ACSI discount card makes it good value.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The problem that we had however somewhat marred the experience.
We had opted for a pitch which ran along the edge of the football ground and a game was played on the Friday evening, although the goals were at the two ends of the field, a player somehow managed an exact hit on our motorhome and it was obvious that he must have taken aim. I would say beware and we were lucky not to have any damage.

Spent 10 days here and enjoyed everyday. Owners really friendly and acknowledged us with a friendly wave or a smile every time they passed. As others have said a short walk into pretty town. Lascaux caves a very short walk away where you can visit the replica caves. Easy driving to other prehistoric (and later) sites. Will definitely visit again.

This is a really lovely campsite, very convenient to the lovely old town of Montignac - around 10 minutes walk. Plenty of shops, restaurants and a good well stocked supermarket. Site was part shaded with mostly good pitch sizes. The sanitary units were unisex, very clean and shower cubicles were a good size. We had a very friendly welcome from the owners and English is spoken. Wifi is free and available round the delightful bar area where pizzas, frites etc were available to order. Good area to explore.

We only stayed for one night on our route south. However this was a nice site, by the river a short walk to a nice small town. The on site restaurant was closed I think, but Irish bar in town sufficed. It is certainly ideally situated for exploring the local area. Clean separate shower facilities. Pleasant owner. We didn't have children with us so can't comment on child friendliness. Would certainly stay here again.

This is a charming site. The pitches are hedged and quite private, varying in size, but there is still a nice social feeling to the site. The owner is very friendly and helpful, doesn't speak a huge amount of English but can get by. There is a lovely heated swimming pool, not huge, but good enough to have a decent swim in, and sun loungers and a small children's pool. There are plenty of toilets, showers etc and the shower cubicles are large, with good hot showers, and even though they are push button, they run on for a good while. There is a bar on site, ice creams etc. There is a small children's playground. Many pitches have their own water and drainage points. Good information point.
The situation of the site is excellent, just 500m, about 15 mins walk into Montignac where there is everything you need, including banks, pharmacy, tourist office, loads of places to eat, take away pizza, and a decent size Spar where you can get everything you will need. We visited in September and the site (at least the ASCI pitches ) were well used, but not full. There are privacy cubicles for both sexes.
Good mix of nationalities.
There are lovely walks from the site, including a circular one to Lascaux caves and the very charming Regourdou where there are 6 brown bears and a raft of prehistoric remains, well worth the €5 entrance fee.
I am very picky about sites but I would definitely stay here again and I would not hesitate recommending it to other people.
The only tiny negative is no soap (like most French campsites) and no toilet paper, but this is a small price to pay for such a nice site.
There is a large outdoor public swimming pool right next to the site, but it is only open from mid June to the first weekend in September.
You can canoe from just a short walk from the site.
The site is in the ASCI scheme so in September we paid only €14 for everything and I think it was a real bargain.
