Lovely quiet site in a quiet location.
The view from our pitch was lovely. The site is surrounded by mature trees.
Claire is very friendly and helpful. Ruthin is a nice little town with independent shops and chains.
It took us 15 years to return, as we have been so busy,
We will make sure we return much sooner next time.

Not terribly impressed to be honest, was hoping for more based on the existing reviews. The drive up to the hall is very potholed but I'm not sure who would be responsible for amending this, not just the site owner but probably all who live in the various accomodation in the 2 halls, houses up the drive and a couple of static caravans so I suppose it won't get done.
The site itself is too long grass and very boggy. It's hard to get a Sky satellite signal through the trees on the south site (I was ensured it would be fine). The rubbish bins are kept in a very unsavoury small outhouse in a corner of the field. There are not really any views, too many trees, although you can see the mountains from the site entrance.
Access from the main road is ok, the mile or so of single track road is ok. The town is not far away, has a Tesco, 2 Co-OPs and 3 fuel stations, as well as many small shops. It's very attractive; the centre is on a hill.
The best things are the many walks, up on the Clywydian Range (try Loggerheads Country Park or Moel Arthur), along the rivers, up in the hills to the west, but there are no walks directly from the site; the single track road is a bit difficult with a dog.
Price is £10 per night or £65 per week, which is ok, but we won't be back.

We stayed here for a weekend at the end of July whilst visiting Ruthin Castle for a wedding.
This CL is about a mile from Ruthin and is approached by country lanes with numerous passing places and ultimately a rather rough uneven road leading to the caravan site. Quite a few cars do use this lane at all times of the day and night but it's not really a nuisance.
This is a lovely quiet caravan site with some lovely views and is situated on a working farm with cattle grazing around.
There are several taps supplying drinking water and a chemical toilet and waste water disposal point. One small point is that the waste water drainage area is quite high up resulting in a little difficulty lifting a full waste water container to empty it. There are no showers or toilets on this site so using your own caravans facilities is a must.
The grass on the site was neatly cut leaving a verge of long grass which is a haven for wildlife and a abundance of cabbage white butterflies.
There only entertainment for children is a small slide but there is a large grassy area in the middle of the pitches.
A great site for a short quiet break in the beautiful Welsh countryside whilst visiting Ruthin or attending weddings at the castle.
Ruthin Castle holds medieval banquets, a really good atmospheric night out with feasting and entertainment.

I stayed several weeks here whilst moving to the local area, and have seen it now over a period of several months.
The CL site is located adjacent to farm buildings and the Hall buildings which are themselves multiple apartments. There is resident traffic along the driveway to these.
Water points and refuse bins and a small children's slide are the only facilities on site so own sanitation is a must.
The site owner Gareth is very helpful and very willing to assist and please.
In the summer rallies are held in another much larger field.
The site has amazing views, it is set at the foot of the Clwydian range of hills which provide an inspiring backdrop and views. Opportunities abound for walking and cycling in the hills or along the 'Vale of Clwyd'.
The nearby town of Ruthin about a mile away is within walking distance along quiet lanes and has plenty to offer the visitor.
This is a working farm with farms on either side so animal noises may be present!
