If it is any thing like the caravan site I would look else where.
Receptionist was very helpful and obliging, First impressions of this site were, it was a bit untidy with cars all around the entrance and reception area.
The loud music playing into the night kept us awake and after a long drive to get there we were very tired.
Despite there being signs everywhere to say dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, it was only our two that were, all the others were not.
We were told that there was a carvery on the Sunday and was looking forward to that, so after a day out we returned at 5. 00, as we entered the bar, the few people that were in there just stared at us, it was like something from a western movie, I expected a shootout any moment.
We felt like interlopers in a tight nit community.
We were then informed the carvery finished at 3. 00, great no tea, luckily we had food in the caravan.
The site shop is open when they feel like it and when my wife saw it open she took the courage to go, the lady running it did not speak a word of English, the stock was very basic. No magazines, newspapers or fresh groceries.
My feelings are that this is more like a traveller’s site with vans and pickup trucks moving about most of the time. It was just missing the tarmac smell.
On a positive note, the toilets and shower block were very clean.
I know it was November when we visited, but for a caravan touring park advertising it is open all year, I did expect better.

We travelled to Swanage for the first weekend in October for a spot of mountain biking and walking. With maybe a swift half or three thrown in for good measure.
Until we went to book a few days before hadn’t we hadn’t realised there was Blues Festival going on, so accommodation was thin on the ground. A Yurt turned out to be our only option.
The Yurt itself was OK. A cosy space (don’t crank up the wood burning stove too much – you may cook!) with serviceable basic furniture and a slightly damp smell. To be fair the weather was dismal so it would have been hard to give the place an airing.
The site is a mix of static vans (including some that look to be permanent residences) motor homes, tents … and of course Yurts. Facilities are reasonable; one fairly old toilet block but one pretty new one. There is a shop and a bar but we didn’t really make use of them. Reception staff were very friendly.
For three chaps cycling and walking it was fine (and the location is great) but I’m not sure it would make my shortlist for a family holiday. Certainly not my image of “Glamping”.
