Tried this site on 12/5/24, closed, overgrown, don't know if it will be open later on the season but looked perminant closure. Need to pad this out to submit, looked like there were campervans around, adhoc stop, didn't seem to be much around, some shops petrol station, so not a total lose checking it out.

The toilet block is clean, no heating to utilities- not unusual. Shower water is controlled at warm only. There are no facilities for grey waste water or toilet tank to be emptied on site. The ground is poorly drained - 25 % of site under 2' of rainwater.
Close to village 10 minutes to restaurants and bars. Cannot recommend for caravans or motorhomes. Electric stated as 10 amps but it is only 6 amps.

Used this site for one night stopover on the way to the dordogne. It's a fab site, across from a chateau, village within walking distance, petrol and supermarket on main road through village. Easy access and cost 20 euros for 4people. We didn't book and 3 of us turned up with large twin axles and we got a pitch no problem. Elec tripped once so we were careful what we used. Good showers and toilets and small kids play area on site.
This site us just over half way to the dordogne it's approx 280 miles from Dunkirk so ideal, we only had another 240 miles day after to our site. Would highly recommend this site it's ideal for a stop over and in a lovely village.

Good price municipal camping. 12 Euros for tent and two people per night. Noisy trains go past.
Showers and toilet block always clean. Very few bins on the site. Bottom toilet block out of service during our visit. Showers too hot! Washup water on the other hand tepid. Queues for showers as there weren't many. No other facilities apart from small children's' playground.
Adjacent outdoor swimming pool was closed in 2009, no sign of renovation yet.
Campsite is close to village, good cheap restaurant on main street 'Creperie L'Hermine'. Pharmacy and general food store in walking distance.Chateau in the village worth visiting. Carrefour supermarket in town, with cheap petrol.

Great stop for overnight when going further south. Apart from the occasional train noise very quiet - next to a small park with river.
Easy off/on for the motorway.
Excellent and very clean facilities. Showers are now included in the price. 17 euro per night for 2 in a motorhome with electric.
Town centre was a little chaotic as the main square was being re cobbled.

This site has been a favourite overnight stopover on the route south for many years, as it is ideally situated 15km south of Orleans on the N20 south, about a day's drive from the channel ports. To find it, bypass Orleans on the A10, joining the A71 signed Bourges. Cross the Loire and leave at Junction 02 onto the N271 east to join the N20 southbound. As the town is approached you will see a Memorial Garden on the right; turn right about 250 metres further (before the Chateau on your left) immediately after crossing the River Cosson. The site is 400 metres on the left. The site is fairly small and inexpensive, with lots of good shade, clean toilet facilities (some continental) and hot showers (1.2 euro). Electric hookups are included. Food preparation and washing-up facilities are provided. Tip - the Railway runs at the far end of the site; turn left inside the gate for the quietest pitches. Immediately opposite the site is the local outdoor Municipal Swimming Pool - just perfect after a hot day in the car - and a children's playground away from the traffic. A short walk into the town are a selection of Restaurants and all usual shops, including 2 supermarkets with fuel cheaper than on the main roads. From here it is an easy run to rejoin the A71, or use the N20 to get to the toll-free A20 south.
