We had a very enjoyable 3 nights here as part of our trip and would definitely return. The site is very well looked after and even at this early point in the season hedges are trimmed, pitches clear and toilet blocks spotless (not always the case as sites open). There are facilities to fill a motorhome with water and empty waste near the reception. Pitches are all a good size and level. The site is very good value and in fact was the cheapest site on our trip this Easter. The reception staff were helpful and friendly and a wine tasting and pizza van was on offer on the Monday night we arrived.
The proximity to the town was our main reason for choosing the site and we loved the town and market (Tuesdays). We enjoyed looking round the old part of the town too and walking up to the castle - excellent views. The Roman remains are worth paying to go and see.

We have stayed on this site each summer for several years now, and look forward to returning again this year. The site offers spacious, shady pitches, with two good facilities blocks, both spotlessly clean and well maintained. Reception is friendly and helpful, mostly from family members, with a few long term assistants. A limited number of 'essentials' can be bought in reception, and bakery goods, pre-ordered the day before, are delivered each morning. A Pizza van and wine sales and tasting are on site, usually twice a week.
The swimming pool is quite small, but the site is only a short walk from a large municipal pool. There is also a table tennis table and a small bar area, but otherwise no animation. For this reason, we would recommend the site for adults or for young families. Older children might, perhaps, demand more in the way of entertainment.
The lovely town of Vaison is only a few minutes walk away, and there you will find plenty of bars and excellent restaurants. The Tuesday market, which fills the town centre, should not be missed. The Roman theatre, from which the site takes its name, is close by, and would make an interesting diversion, perhaps on a cooler day! Mont Ventoux is visible from the site, and a drive (or cycle ride for the very fit) up to the summit makes a great day out. The old town, with its castle, is visible from the site, and well worth the climb to visit it. Further afield, Avignon, Orange and Nyons provide good trips out, and if you can get up early on a Sunday morning, the market at Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the best in Provence.
There is a small supermarket in the town centre, and two larger ones, Super-U and Intermarche, just a short drive away, as well as an ALDI and a Lidl. There are also several good bakers off the town square.
There is a good mix of nationalities on the site, many of them making long stays and returning year after year. The general ambience is friendly and calm. The only thing we would want to improve is the Wi-Fi, which, although free, only seems to work properly in the immediate vicinity of the reception.
