This site is now closed.
We tried to call this site numerous times to see if they had a space for the Bank Holiday but the line / connection was dead. We then turned up at the site to see if we could stay - and there was nothing. No answer at the door, no answer from the mobile number, no sign of anyone staying, or having stayed in the recent past.
We couldn't even work out where the 5 allocated spaces could have been.
The 'noticeboard' has notices from 2004.

Stayed here 3 weekends on the trot. Lovely, quiet, peaceful surroundings. The owners are really helpful and friendly. Very dog and child friendly.
There are some really nice walks just on your doorstep, and the views from the hilltops are breathtaking.
Nearest shop is in market Rasen.
The toilet/shower facilities are basic, but we use our own in our caravan anyway.
We have 4 kids aged from 3 to 12, and they had a great time, going for walks, and running around on the field. They loved the fact that you can stroke all the horses too. (and we didn't spend a penny on arcades, or gift shops) which makes a refreshing change. Going back for a few nights next week, and will definitely be back after that too.

Just like the other review - we had a lovely time and fantastic walk all around the Wolds (18 miles) through lots little villages - a grand round trip from the site.
The owners are very nice people and it was great to see their horses - beautiful animals and foal.
The facilities are poor though, although everything is there: 2 toilets, 1 shower but no proper hot water - the water heater seemed to be on the blink. It is really for caravanners with hook ups and their own washing facilities.
Great place to explore the Wolds though but for tenting 2 nights was enough. We heard our first cuckoo.

Now this really is the life! Idyllic location, small, quiet campsite with extremely friendly and welcoming owners.
The facilities are basic, but unlike the experience of the previous review we found that they were all clean and well maintained. Presumably having been spruced up recently.
Market Rasen is only a 10 minute drive away and the site is surrounded by easy walks of varying distances.
I would thoroughly recommend this site to all those that like to avoid the large sprawling parks and prefer and more friendly and intimate experience.
Shall definitely be going back.

For me staying on this campsite is the real camping life. A quiet place near a (horse) farm with lots of space to put your caravan (in this extremely wet year only limited by the soaked soil in which you easily got stuck with the car) and being awakened by the sound of the birds and the sheep. The facilities are poor though everything is there: toilets, a shower with free running hot water and even a sink for the dishes. But you won't be eager to make use of it. Not because it's dirty but because it's in a very bad condition. But we had a wonderful time in the first week of July 2007 we were here. The owners are very nice people and they give you the opportunity to watch the training of young horses each day.
