This was our first camping trip and we could not have picked a nicer campsite. John the owner helped us out so much. The campsite is very well kept and lovely and quiet. Walking distance to two pubs and a little village shop.

The walk along the canal is so lovely and is not to be missed.

We had a fantastic time and could certainly recommend this site.

A fantastic 5 pitch site, very quiet (almost a CL site) ideal for caravans as it has no toilet or shower facilities.

The location is great just 5-10 mins walk to the centre of Christleton where there is a pub and small shop. Also from the village centre is the bus stop which takes you into the centre of Chester, in about 15-20 mins and costs £2.50 adult return, there are 2 an hour. The last bus back from Chester is approx 19.00.

Very reasonable at £12 per night including hook-up.

John the owner is also very helpful.

Will visit again soon!

A 5 pitch site with no toilet or shower facility situated 25 yards off Plough Lane in Christleton (best kept village award)3 miles from Chester. At £10 per night including hook-up, this site for us was a gem since it was quiet and only 8 minutes walk down Plough Lane to the Plough Pub which boasts The Best Gastro Pub Winner 2008! Also 8 minutes walk to The Thistleton Institute and 10 minutes walk to the canal towpath where you can walk into Chester in little over half an hour - if you don't stop for a drink on the way. The towpath brochure obtainable from Tourist Information in Chester gives an excellent account of all the points of interest on the canal. The site is clean and well kept and owner John Arden who runs a small beef stock farm couldn't have been more helpful.
