Found this site very easily, easy access through single track access farm road, into the farmyard itself, then into the beautifully mowed field.
There is a slope to the field so you need to park and be clever with your jockey wheel and caravan legs, as I was an elderly woman on her own I was allowed to park in another field where there was not such a slope there. I had prearranged this with Annette.
The fresh water was close to hand and the facility to clear the toilet waste and water to clean the equipment was easy to hand.
I would recommend this site if you want a quiet few days away, I noticed people use the site who have used it time and time again, coming to visit Harrogate to do business.
The first night the main road bothered me or so I thought but I still got 9 hours sleep so not that much then! Lol
Thank you Gary and Annette. X

We loved the site. The facilities were spotless and despite the Corvid situation we felt comfortable and safe.
The Fodder Shop and Restaurant were great being in walking distance plus Sainsburys and the bus stop making a trip into Harrogate very easy, even though we did walk there and got the bus back.

We enjoyed our three night stay here. The location is great for access to Harrogate and surrounding areas.
The only issue we had was with the gravel on the hard-standing pitch we had booked. There seems to be too much of it and our camper got stuck. The farmer was helpful and gave us a tow out of it with his 4x4. Once that drama was over we had a lovely stay.
Facilities are basic here. But it’s a working farm and that was as advertised, so as expected.

The main problem was the surface material for the hard standing. Or motorhome sank very easily into the gravel which is quite deep in parts. Getting up onto levelling chocks was quite difficult.
After a couple of days the ramps had sunk down.
Apart from that a nice site and we would visit again if the surface was firmer.

A working farm
The main field is grass and we went onto the hard standing, very wet time.
Bus route on the road by entrance
Easy reach of Harrowgate which we really enjoyed, well worth the visit.
Farm children come around with fresh eggs for sale.

We used this site twice as a stoper for our journey from Essex to the Lake District and again on our return.
Easy to find off main road, but long narrow farm entrance with low wall either side to get to the camping site. Hardstanding at the field entrance and boggy field beyond.
No toilet or showers. Water and chemical waste available. Expensive for what was available.
