Site is small private garden behind pub. Free range hens running around so we had to keep a stern eye on the lurchers!
Facilities: water tap in front of pub & pubs loos open 24/7.
Can only take tents as garden not accesible by car, you have to park alongside, move your gear through small gate & up steps then across pub garden at side to your pitch then move vehicle to car park around the corner, which also has 24/7 loo block.
S&C is a very ancient stone built building, with 2 rooms & hatch in corridor. Largeoutdoor drinking areas at front & side. Very busy & popular pub, does excellent range of real ales & cider, food limited to delicious home made pasties & pies which run out by about 9pm. Also has small museum of fossils & other finds in small corridor room.
Regular live music in bar - can be loud.
We went May day & spring bank holidays. 1st time we were the only campers, 2nd time garden was packed with v friendly young people.
Nice vibe - would visit again
