 Good value for money.
Reception open at specific hours as managed by one caretaker, who does not live on site.
Good, modern service block, well maintained.
Tennis courts on site. Pay extra.
River a short walk to. Navigable with inflatables.
Excellent cycling routes all around, can cycle to Chambourd. The MUST SEE chateau. Go for a full day and see the magnificent pile, inside and out, then have a picnic in the grounds or eat at the hotel. Book for the son et lumiere, which is one of the best on the Loire valley. It is gobsmackingly good!
The camp site is smallish. All pitches are of a decent size and bound by hedges for privacy. Far from overcrowded. Couple of very good eating places in the village within easy walking distance.
Very affordable base. But quiet. Probably not the greatest for children.
