Reception very welcoming we had a tour of the facilities by the staff.
We chose this site as it is near to some good supermarkets as we stick to the rules about taking fresh food into Europe.
We will visit there again if we are going that way we would recommend.

Really nice Municipal site. We got a huge pitch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The sanitary block was spotless and looked brand new. The town is about a 20 minute walk. Aldi is a 5 minute walk away and sells bread/croissants, etc. Which is handy.
There was swimming pool adjacent to this site, they have built a bigger one with waterslides, etc. Further away into town. We didn't use it, so I don't know if there is a discount for people staying at the campsite.
We went to the Base De Loisirs at Chenedet which is situated in the forest about a 10 minute drive away. There's a lovely lake for swimming, kayaking, etc and a ropes adventure course. It got busy after lunch but was very quiet when we arrived about 12pm.
Fougeres is a lovely Breton town with a very historic centre. There's lots to do and see in the area and its a good base for Mont St Michel away from the crowds.

Stayed here with children for 2 nights on way back from western Brittany. Useful stopover site. Lovely new and clean washroom facilities. Children enjoyed use of outdoor table tennis tables and play area. There is also a leisure centre next-door with pool which is easy to visit, but we did not use this.
Nice pitches with mixture of shade and sun - we could choose which we preferred on the day. Plenty of choice even in August. As other reviews state, site does not open until 5pm and we had to park up outside before the barrier could be opened for us at 5pm.
Easy access into Fougeres, with lovely chateau (22 euros for family ticket) and walkable town centre.
We failed to avoid town centre as we approached site despite being warned by previous reviewers - try to keep to the main ring road if you can, as it will bring you round to signs for the site eventually!
Very friendly and competent staff during opening hours. Well-run site. Would not hesitate to return in future.

A clean, well laid out site, mixture of shaded and open pitches, clean facilities, and supermarkets close by. Fougeres is within walking distance, the centre is quite small but there is an interesting town walk which guides you around notable sites.

This is probably the most pleasant municipal campsite we have stayed on as it set in parkland on the outskirts of Fougères. The pitches are large and some are delineated by hedges. The sanitaires are very clean although one or two of the showers were slow to drain. Carrefour hypermarché is just over 1 km away and the town centre just over 1. 5 kms. Fougères is a pleasant town with a small medieval area near to the Chateau.
Be aware that out of high season the site doesn’t open until 5pm but if the lovely ladies that look after the site are around, they will open up for you. They are extremely helpful and nothing appears to be too much trouble for them, they contributed to a very pleasant stay.
Wifi free around reception and cost in June 2016 was 17. 75€.

Very nice municipal site on the outskirts of town, try to avoid driving through town centre to access the site as the roads are very narrow. Good secluded pitches, most have 10 amp electricity, some are fully serviced also. The site is very well run and the proprietor speaks English, approx 10 minutes walk to the nice town, would recommend for short visit

Arrived here early afternoon, when the office was closed. Helpful staff gave us access, and placed us on a well thought out pitch, part hard, part grass, hedged, water available on the pitch, motorhome service area too. Free internet access when the office is open.
Toilet block clean, water could be hotter. Ladies area seemed to be closed, so it morning ablutions were an egalitarian experience.
Handy for the the town. My wife cannot walk too far, and even she managed it. You can listen to the owls at night
I could not get flush water on the service area, but it is new and may not be fully commissioned yet.

Recommended campsite. Very clean and plentiful showers/toilets etc. The high hedges between spacious pitches make it very private and peaceful. Helpful and friendly staff. Free internet access in the reception area.
Fougeres castle is well worth a visit. You can explore all over it including all the towers and rampants, and it is very reasonably priced at about 3.50 euros for an adult.

We stayed at this site for one night whilst on a motorcycle tour. The site is situated outside the town but it only takes 30 mins to walk to the town centre. The pitches are divided by hedges and trees so it's very private. The toilets, showers and laundry are located in a unusual building near the entrance. All were very clean and tidy. There is a small children's play area. The local baker stops at the site gate at 8am each day so you can buy fresh croissants and bread for breakfast. The site owners spoke good English. Fougeres is a very nice town. There are plenty of bars and restaurants catering for all budgets. The castle is well worth a visit, you can have a guided tour with a English speaking guide for no extra charge if you are in a small group. The old town is very pretty with a couple of churches worth a visit too.
