A busy site a few kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea. Reception staff were pleasant and spoke excellent english, recognising my attempts at french.
Pitches were of a good size for caravan, awning and towcar, allowing space for tables and chairs. Most pitches were well shaded, though very dusty as could be expected for this part of France.
The toilet/wash blocks were clean with ample hot water, though could get a little busy at times. The boulangerie van called at the wash blocks every morning, but you needed to get to the first stop fairly promptly or they tended to run out. There was a Lidl five minutes walk from the site for stores.
Pools were clean and the bar area seemed popular and quite busy.
Overall, a good site, but a bit too dusty and hot for our liking.

We used Camping Cheques at this site, on the first day they were accepted in late August, which makes it good value for money. The site was fairly quiet, with plenty of empty pitches. We had a choice of pitches, mostly under trees, but some more open. There are some very large pitches. We got a 'cracking' pitch with a lovely view (though the site is walled). Our pitch was on the edge of the site, in an area recommended by reception as 'quiet', but suffered from road noise throughout the day and night which we hate. Most other caravanners were British or French.
Reception staff were friendly, and helpful. The Sanitary Blocks were a little 'end of seasonish' with good hot showers, but only one block was open. The toilet areas, in particular, could have been cleaner, and perhaps needed a 'deep clean' at the end of season.
The pool/restaurant area was across the road, and traffic used the road throughout the day. The pool surroundings were a bit 'tired' with some broken tiles, and the pool was not as clean as we would like with sand at the bottom and some floating debris. Tbe pool temperature was warm. The bar, restaurant and pizzeria were closed - with a notice promising 'Open Tomorrow' but they never did.
There is a big range of tourist information available in the reception office, and a knowledgeable reception staff.
Nearby is a Lidl supermarket, with some of the nicest and cheapest croissants we've had in France. There is a bus service which passes the site, and takes you down to the seafront.
How long were we there? 7 days.
Did we like the area - not particularly.
Would we go back. Probably no.

Booked with select sites and found their details to be outdated, the local train no longer runs there was the main one that we had hoped for that wasn't available
The site itself is good, toilet block has 3 sections, all of which are unisex which I was wary about but in fact were perfectly fine. They were cleaned daily around 7 and the main downside was the lack of loo roll late in the evenings. The entertainment was sparce and as it was still August this was disappointing, along with being told by security we had to be quiet at 11pm on site before the bar closed at 12 midnight.
We were situated behind reception - no traffic noise and very well shaded pitches. Pitches were not oversized and our friends struggled with a double axled van with awing and end annexes with parking but as my van is much smaller we compromised and parked 2 cars on my pitch
Pool complex good although the attendant varied on the rules depending on the hour of day - not really consistent but overall good natured.
Will probably not use the site again for a long stay but would for short overnight stays

This is a busy flat, slightly foresty site (pleanty of cover) on both the CC and the C&CC overseas list. We chose it because its close to the French / Spanish border and close to the Med. Its 20 miles from the border and if you have a stomach for mountain roads there is a wonderful coastal route into Spain!
Our first impressions were of dirty and dated toilet blocks, but they are cleaned daily (8am!) and are just dated. A neighour told us he'd been coming here from the north of England for 22 years!
The site is maybe 50% mobile homes, but still about 100 tent/van pitches.
There is therefore a lot of demand on the pool & games & restaurant complex - though to us with young children & 2 near-teens, these were unhelpfuly located across a suburban (if quiet) road. These are OK but there are no games, etc. Fascilities at all in the camping area. My kids loved the pools, particularly the small / shallow pool - but it does get busy.
We didn't try the restaurant but it also serves as the pizzarea for the local community.
This site is 10mins drive away from a huge and busy beach, though if you time it right and don't go to the town beach, we found free parking on the road a stones-throw from the beach.
There are several large supermarkets within 15 mins drive.
Traffic noise is a significant problem at night but I'm not sure there are alternatives in this busy holiday area. We drove past several other much more commercialised sites which is not what we wanted. I guess if we came back to this area, we might stay here again.

Very helpful and friendly staff which could not be faulted. Toilets / showers were cleaned frequently but were a bit shabby. Found the regulars on the site a bit aloof for some strange reason. Not the friendliest site we have visited by miles. If it had not been for the rain we had for a week before arriving we would not have stayed for a week but the weather was gorgeous. Warning: they have built a Lidl store a few metres from the corner of the site, which could be seen from the pitch we were offered and reluctantly took. Also from this corner of the site there was a lot of road noise.

After a two day drive from Calais to Ma Prarie we were greeted at reception with a smile and a complimentary bottle of wine! Our pitch was part shady and of a reasonable size, enough room for our huge motorhome and a gazebo. The weather at this time of year was hot, hot, hot which made sleeping difficult for the first couple of nights. While the weather remained hot a strong steady wind blew for the reaminder of the holiday which helped considerably with keeping cool, especially at night.
The toilets and showers were mixed sex and were always clean. The bar, swimming pool and restaurant areas involved crossing a road which was fairly quiet so it didn't matter. They laid on some good entertainment in the evenings. Going to the beach (Canet Plage) involved a bone shaking ride on a road train but it was cheap and functional, plenty of eating places once you get there for a reasonable price. The last road train leaves at midnight prompt! There is a beach front market in Canet Plage for those that like that sort of thing, it gets really packed out. All in all a memorable holiday.
