 First time we had ever been to a place like this. It was a big sprawling holiday camp. There was an amazing beach 500m walk away. Very big waves so you have to be extra careful. Sand was like muscovado sugar.
Campsite was in a pine forest and we lucked out with our pitch (no. 390) as we got to look out over the forest for a view.
Bikes: bring yours. We hired them which was ok, but cheaper and nicer to have your own.
There was caberet and entertainment every night, a games room, a busy bar area. Good for older kids. The swimming pools were 2 baby/children ones with slides and spouting water etc and two other large ones. Our 3 year old loved it.
They had fresh bread and croissants and a well stocked shop, you could buy rotisserie chicken and pizza to take away. Mimizan town has a big LeClerc to shop in. So we never went hungry.
I could have done with larger, more modern toilets. I was a bit icked out sometimes by toilet visits. But there were other toilet blocks which were nicer.
There were not many English there! The staff spoke it but you really have to give French a go which was no bad thing. We really enjoyed it. It was large and impersonal but it had so many good things going for it too. There is a beautiful lake about 25 mins bike ride away, and they have very civilised cycle lanes going into town.
