We, being a family of five, stayed here for 12 nights in July 2010.
First the positives, it is a large site with plenty of room and individual pitches, Water and electricity points are shared between blocks of four pitches and easily accessible. The toilet blocks were cleaned every day and there were no problems with hot water. There are plenty of pools with two swimming complexes one at either end of this long narrow site. There is a small supermarket on site that is reasonably priced and has a very good stock of different items plus there are other shops selling swimwear, postcards, newspapers etc plus a pizza takeaway, a restaurant and a bar. The site is just off the motorway and very easy to find being some two miles outside of Frejus.
The surrounding area is really pretty and access to Frejus is easily gained by bicycle, bus or car (there is a bus stop just outside the site gates). A visit to the port is a must especially on a Friday evening for the fireworks (free). Excursions to Nice, Cannes and Monaco are all within one hour if using the motorway. St. Tropez being in the other direction is a little more difficult via the beautiful coast road but it does take around one and a half hours to navigate some 30 miles due to traffic.
The negatives are; the site is very expensive, we paid over 1,000 euros for twelve nights. This price does include the pools and the entertainment which is on nearly every night in an open air amphitheatre starting at 10pm until 11pm. After this there is a youth disco (14-19) on site from 11pm to 2am. The moral of these two pieces of information is that if you like to be in bed fairly early this is probably not the site for you. The biggest issue we had was that we were pitched next to the main thoroughfare and constantly heard a great deal of noise from people coming and going to the amphitheatre and especially the younger people travelling to and from the disco. A little more noise control and security supervision would not go amiss!
So if you like your site lively almost Butlinesque and you have teenagers this will be great for you. If not, I suggest you find somewhere a little quieter.
