We had trouble finding a site that would allow 7 people on one pitch. But this one let us on. On arrival we were not overly impressed with our pitch it was full of tall weeds and brambles and although the girls on reception were very friendly the manager was rude and said he'd see to it in the morning. With 3 small children, a caravan, awning and gazebo to pitch we didn't fancy doing this twice. He eventually found someone to sort it out. As it turned out we probably had the best pitch, it was out the way of he main roads, it was a huge pitch and very quiet. The pitches were all surrounded by hedges so you had privacy and very well drained. The electrics were a mixture of 2 and 3 pin. The toilet block was a bit of a walk but as teenagers tended to play outside it until late we didn't mind this. Our toilet block was kept clean, it was unisex (but thankfully had toilet seats!) and they had paper in the cubicles. There were some shower cubicles, sink cubicles and some with shower and sinks which were really useful for taking all the kids together. The pool wasn't much, it was over crowded a bit cold and later in the day it didn't smell pleasant in the toilet areas or as you walked in. With older children it would be fine but with all under 6's it was too cold and busy. I used the washing machines whilst we were there, the laundry facilities were brilliant, 5 euros for a wash but it was in a professional Miele machine and the clothes were so well spun I could dry them off at my pitch rather than paying for a dryer. There were also lots of sinks available for handwashing. There is a shop on site which is a bit expensive as you would expect but it stocks a bit of everything and they had fresh croissant, French sticks etc first thing every morning. There is also a restaurant which we ate in one night, we found the meal was good and being able to walk back to our pitch meant we could all have a drink. It is a very large site and has a great play area for the kids with a bouncy castle. There are arranged activities every day for children and families but we didn't take part in any of these or use any of the other games facilities. The beach isn't far and was very nice, it was only a 10min drive. There is also a HyperU about a 5 min drive. Although beware, Sunday opening hours are different to ours and nothing is open 24 hours! We enjoyed our stay here however I can imagine a different location on site and I might have been writing a very different review!

Stayed here in a tent run by canvas holidays, who we have used on many occasions before. We were disappointed with this site. The pool was not large, the toilets were not looked after and were very dirty. The camp site is quite large and some of the toilet blocks were over subscribed at times; with a longer walk it was possible to find facilities which were less busy. The pitch we had for the first week was very dark with only a small sliver of sunlight about mid day.

The shop was small and expensive. There was a pizzeria on site which we used once and was ok.

Really enjoyed the area. The campsite is about 10 mins drive from the sea where you can find some lovely long open beaches; which can get quite windy.

Excellent site ! family of 5 -3 kids 10, 14, 16 none of us wanted to return home. Had great weather, loads to occupy kids, they made loads of friends.

Camp area: there's some shade under pines. Pools are great, clean and tidy with no drinks from bar at poolside. Night entertainment good, could do with bigger room in busy times. Shop had everything needed

Lots to see an do in area if want to visit. Toilets clean showers ok, in need of modernising though, washing up area ok. Multi sports area always busy, reps doing competitions etc.

Mainly Dutch, French and British using site.

Visited site before the french main holidays, very quiet apart from the last night when a French family arrived next to us and made a lot of noise with drinking music etc, did not complain because the site Manager seemed un bothered from other incidents in the stay and the language problem. We had a bargain e-bay mobile home holiday and having found out the tariff-40euro's plus for a tent/caravan, I was glad we did. The swimming pool was excellent but unsupervised until a French kid was hurt on the flume then the manager installed a lifeguard. The entertainment was almost non existent held in a bar with expensive drinks. The shop was as expensive as the bar. I think the whole site was geared to affluent french staying in mobile homes, however Canvas Holidays and similar were making a good effort to entertain families. A big worry was that the site was in a forest with not much obvious fire fighting equipment.
